The Schabus LED flashing light with wall bracket is used for optical alarm signalling in conjunction with suitable control, signalling or warning systems. It generates a clearly visible flashing or continuous light and is suitable for signalling alarm, operating or fault conditions in buildings, technical installations as well as industrial and commercial applications.
It is ideal, for example, for making it visible in the living area or hallway that an alarm has been triggered in the basement or technical room. The light is pre-wired and ready for connection; the wall mounting bracket is included.
The ultra-bright LEDs are not operated at their power limit and therefore offer a long service life. The housing is made of impact-resistant ABS, the light dome of polycarbonate.
Important note: Connection may only be carried out by qualified electricians. Before all work, ensure that the power is disconnected. Before opening the light dome, also ensure that the power is disconnected and, after changing the operating mode, close the light dome completely again so that the degree of protection is maintained.

How the flashing light works
After the operating voltage is applied, the flashing light is immediately ready for operation.
- Continuous light: set at the factory, switch to L
- Flashing light: set the switch to LF; the flash frequency is 60–80 flashes per minute
- To switch, remove the light dome and change the selector switch on the LED module
- Before opening the light dome, ensure that the power is disconnected
- After switching, close the light dome completely again so that the degree of protection is maintained
- The flashing light is connected to 100–240 V AC (50/60 Hz); the current consumption is 33 mA at 230 V AC

How the flashing light is constructed
The flashing light (type Q-Light Q80LW) consists of light head, wall bracket and pre-wired cable.
Light dome made of polycarbonate
The red light dome (Ø 83 mm) must not be covered. The light head is 120 mm high. To change the operating mode the light dome is removed.
LED module
The LED module with ultra-bright high-power LEDs is located under the light dome. The LEDs are not operated at their power limit.
Selector switch
The switch on the housing selects the operating mode: L = continuous light (factory setting), LF = flashing light.
Housing made of impact-resistant ABS
The degree of protection of the flashing light is IP65; its weight is 0.20 kg.
Wall bracket
The wall arm is 72 mm long; the wall holder has a diameter of 70 mm. For fastening there are 4 elongated holes Ø 6 mm on a hole circle of 54–56 mm; the cable gland has Ø 23 mm.
Pre-wired connecting cable
The connecting cables are already pre-assembled and approx. 400 mm (0.4 m) long. In the connection diagram for alternating voltage the conductors are white and black; a fuse belongs in the supply circuit.

Mounting the flashing light
- Choose a low-vibration mounting location so that the light works reliably.
- Mount the flashing light so that the light signal is clearly visible from all required directions. The light dome must not be covered.
- Mount the flashing light as vertically as possible. Do not overtighten the fastening screws in order to avoid damage to the housing.
- For outdoor mounting, observe the prescribed installation position so that no water can enter. For long-term use the manufacturer recommends protected mounting, e.g. under a canopy, in order to avoid permanent moisture.
Connecting the flashing light
- Before all work, ensure that the power is disconnected. Connection may only be carried out by qualified electricians.
- Connect the pre-wired cable to 100–240 V AC (with alternating voltage no polarity needs to be observed). The conductor cross-section must be at least 0.8 mm².
- After the operating voltage is applied, the flashing light is immediately ready for operation. If required, change the operating mode at the selector switch.
Important: The light is basically suitable for harsh environments (degree of protection IP65). For long-term use, however, choose protected mounting, e.g. under a canopy.

Warranty, guarantee and disposal
The device is covered by the statutory warranty of at least 2 years in the EU. The manufacturer Elektrotechnik Schabus additionally offers a 5-year guarantee that can be registered online. Repair and spare parts are available directly from the manufacturer.
In the event of a defect please contact the manufacturer and provide your complete address as well as the reason for return. Within Germany you will receive a free returns label by e-mail. Unpaid packages will not be accepted; unjustified returns will be charged subsequently. In the case of statutory warranty the device must be sent in with a description of the fault, proof of purchase as well as address and delivery address.
The device does not belong in household waste. The crossed-out wheeled-bin symbol reminds you to use the take-back systems for waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE No. DE91394868).
