Battery Regulation and RoHS
Battery Ordinance (BattVO)
As the products we sell may contain batteries or rechargeable batteries, we are obliged under the Battery Ordinance (BattVO) to draw your attention to the following:
Batteries and rechargeable batteries must not be disposed of with household waste. End users are legally obliged to dispose of them properly. Used batteries and rechargeable batteries must be returned free of charge to the seller or to the municipal collection centres. If batteries are returned to the seller by post, the consignment must be sufficiently stamped.
Batteries and rechargeable batteries containing hazardous substances are labelled with a crossed-out wheelie bin symbol. The abbreviations under the symbol indicate the chemical content of the pollutant: ‘Cd’ (cadmium); ‘Li’ (lithium), ‘Pb’ (lead), ‘Zi’ (zinc), ‘Mh’ (metal hydride), ‘Li-Ion’ (lithium-ion).
RoHS
All our manufacturing partners and suppliers have implemented the EU Directive 2002/95/EC on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment (RoHS).
