GX-SE Gas Sensor – The Invisible Guardian for Natural, City & LPG Gas
A small crack in the line, a leaky cylinder valve – and danger is already in the air. The GX-SE from Elektrotechnik Schabus is the smart external sensor designed to prevent exactly that. It detects natural gas (methane), city gas, and LPG (propane/butane, R290) long before levels become critical – and instantly alerts the GX-A1 or GX-HS gas alarm units. Compact, low power consumption, 2.5 m cable, and simple RJ plug connection – that’s all it takes. Perfect protection for home gas installations, bottled gas connections, and anywhere else gas is used.
As typical for Schabus, the technology is highly precise: a catalytic sensor operating from -10 °C to +50 °C with a lifespan of approx. 5 years. Placement depends on the type of gas: for methane, mount high (15–30 cm below the ceiling); for propane/butane, mount low (max. 15 cm above the floor) – at a maximum distance of 4 m from the alarm unit. Not for use in Ex zones, indoor dry areas only. Made in Germany – a sensor you can rely on when it really counts.
The GX-SE is more than just an accessory – it’s your first line of defense. Landlords, homeowners, holiday home users, and anyone with a gas heater or cylinder installation value it for being quiet, reliable, and low-maintenance. Once installed, it simply does its job – giving you peace of mind that gas leaks won’t go unnoticed.
The GX-SE impresses with precision and simplicity – key features at a glance:
