Safety instructions – General

• Before mounting or operating the device, read the user manual carefully.
• The product and packaging materials are not toys. Keep them away from children and pets.
• Ensure the prescribed mounting height of the sensor is observed. The sensor cable must be installed as a fixed surface wiring. Never route the sensor cable parallel to mains voltage lines!
  

Intended use

• The GX-CO2-25 gas sensor is a carbon dioxide (CO₂) sensor designed for use as an accessory with the GX-A1 (300892) and GX-HS (400200) gas warning devices in our product series. 
• The sensor operates in dry rooms that are regularly occupied by people. It must not be used in potentially explosive areas. 
• Thresholds and alarm levels are based on recommendations from health and environmental authorities.
• Any use other than that described above is not permitted.

Alternative operation with power supply

If no switching or building control connection is required, the sensor can also be operated with a stabilized 5 V DC power supply providing approximately 400–500 mA. 

The USB interface of a computer or a USB power adapter can also be used.
