The barox VI-UTP-3105 is the IP PoE Extender Switch for UTP cables. With it, four 10 / 100 Base T Ethernet ports can be connected via a single uplink via UTP cable. The switch was specially developed for use in existing installations and enables the use of existing UTP cabling with Cat5e or better or generally twisted pairs for video over IP or generally IP.
The barox VI-UTP-3105 has 5 x 10 / 100 Base T RJ45 Copper ports with PoE PoE plus PoE plus plus as well as 1 x RJ45 Extender port. The maximum transmission distance is approx. 500 meters when using Cat5e cable or better. The pass through technology forwards the PoE power supply directly.
The barox VI-UTP-3105 does not require any software configuration and is ready for immediate use thanks to plug and play. With sufficient PoE plus or PoE plus plus supply via the extender line, no local power supply is required. In case of too high line losses, it can be supplied locally with 56 VDC up to 120 watts. Without PoE, the power requirement is 12 VDC 2 A. The power consumption is a maximum of 120 watts.
The barox VI-UTP-3105 operates in the temperature range of minus 30 to plus 75 degrees Celsius. The dimensions are 126 by 95 by 30 millimeters. The weight is 0.28 kilograms gross and 0.20 kilograms net. The compact design and the wide temperature range make it very versatile.
