SHT 217 Pump Controller – Water Detected, Pump On, Basement Dry

Water in the basement? The pump starts automatically with the SHT 217 pump controller from Elektrotechnik Schabus. As soon as the fork sensor detects ground moisture, the device switches on the connected pump (up to 1500 VA), triggers a loud alarm, and flashes red.

When the sensor is dry again, the pump continues to run for an adjustable 0–100 seconds and then switches off, and the alarm stops. 2.8 m sensor cable (extendable up to 50 m), continuously adjustable run-on time via rotary control. Ideal for sump pits, cisterns, basements, and all places where water should be automatically removed.

The technology is simple yet ingenious: the fork sensor responds instantly to the smallest amounts of water – perfect for shallow sumps. 1500 VA switching capacity is sufficient for most submersible and wastewater pumps. Acoustic and visual alarms provide additional warning. The adjustable run-on time prevents short cycles and protects the pump. LIYY cable is flame-retardant, oil-resistant, and temporarily waterproof. Note: For cyclic operation or non-conductive liquids, use the SHT 227 with float switch instead.

Intended use
