GAS ALARM GX-B3

GX-B3 Gas Alarm: Plug-in Safety with Automatic Shutoff

A gas leak never comes with a warning – but the GX-B3 from Elektrotechnik Schabus GmbH & Co. KG reacts instantly. This intelligent plug-in alarm unit with an external RJ sensor detects methane (natural gas), propane, and butane even at minimal concentrations – and not only triggers an alarm but actively shuts off the gas supply.

Simply plug it in and position the sensor precisely where the danger may occur using its cable: 30 cm below the ceiling for natural gas or close to the floor for LPG. After just 3 minutes of preheating, the system is ready for operation.

In case of an alarm, a loud signal sounds, the red LED flashes – and the connected appliance (e.g. gas boiler or magnetic valve) is automatically switched off. Only after proper ventilation and a manual power reset (by unplugging the device) can the system be reactivated. No drilling, no electrician – just maximum safety with minimal effort. Made in Germany, supplied with mounting hardware and manual.

The GX-B3 offers dual protection: the external catalytic sensor reacts highly sensitively to combustible gases. Through the RJ cable interface, it immediately signals the main unit to act – triggering both an alarm and device shutdown.

The built-in relay switches up to 230 V / 5 A, suitable for gas boilers, magnetic shutoff valves, or heating controllers. The sensor cable can be routed through a 13 mm wall opening, allowing the main unit to stay outside the monitored room – ideal for technical rooms or basements. The alarm is unmistakable: a loud piezo tone and flashing LED ensure visibility and audibility even in noisy environments.

Testing is simple with a small amount of lighter gas – safe and practical. The GX-B3 is not just a detector but an active safety system: it warns, shuts off, and prevents disasters. Perfect for homes with gas heating, holiday apartments, or commercial installations – wherever gas flows, the GX-B3 belongs.

The GX-B3 is more than an alarm – it’s the bodyguard for your gas installation. Whether it’s a gas stove in the kitchen, a heating boiler, or LPG storage, any leak is not only detected but actively stopped. The automatic shutoff ensures that no more gas escapes – a crucial advantage over passive detectors. Tenants, homeowners, landlords, and facility managers all appreciate the quick installation and active protection.

Its robust design, clear signaling, and German engineering make the GX-B3 a reliable long-term solution. It proves that safety can be simple – and life-saving. With the GX-B3, you invest in control – the decisive control of a system that reacts automatically when danger arises.

GX-B3 Key Features:

  • Automatic shutoff: Reliably switches off gas boilers, magnetic valves, or heating systems.
  • External RJ sensor: Flexible placement – high for natural gas, low for propane/butane.
  • Fast readiness: Only 3 minutes preheating time – immediate protection.
  • Loud alarm: Piezo tone + flashing red LED – impossible to miss.
  • Plug-in power supply: 230 V – no batteries, always active.
  • Wall pass-through: Sensor cable fits through 13 mm holes – main unit can remain outside.
  • Secure reset: Reactivation only after ventilation and unplugging – safe and controlled.
  • Made in Germany: Excellent quality, reliability, and service from Schabus.

Applications: Where the GX-B3 Provides Active Protection

The GX-B3 ensures active gas safety across many practical environments:

  • Boiler rooms: Shuts off gas boilers in case of leaks – prevents explosions.
  • Kitchens with gas stoves: Stops gas flow if a leak occurs – safety while cooking.
  • Gas storage areas: Automatically shuts off supply when propane/butane is detected.
  • Holiday homes & boats: Retrofit protection with auto-shutoff – anywhere with a socket.
  • Commercial kitchens & catering: Controls shutoff valves – protects staff and guests.
  • Technical rooms & basements: Sensor inside, main unit outside – clean installation.
  • Rental properties: Simple installation without modifications – perfect for tenants and landlords.

With the GX-B3, gas safety starts at the socket – and goes beyond simple alarms. It’s the smart, active solution for anyone using gas who demands maximum safety.

The automatic shutoff, the flexible sensor, and the German build quality make it an indispensable system. Order today, plug it in, and enjoy peace of mind knowing your home doesn’t just warn – it acts.
