CO Alarm GX-C300 Carbon Monoxide Detector

GX-C300 CO Alarm: Professional Early Warning System with ppm Display – TÜV Certified, Relay Controlled

Carbon monoxide in shisha lounges, boiler rooms, or canteens is invisible – the GX-C300 from Elektrotechnik Schabus GmbH & Co. KG makes it visible and stops it.

This TÜV-certified professional warning device (DIN EN 50291) measures CO precisely in ppm using an electrochemical sensor, displays the value on an illuminated plain-text LCD, and switches two potential-free 5 A relays during an alarm: one activates forced ventilation or a shut-off valve, the other transmits faults to building control systems.

Features include a loud piezo alarm, flashing display, and factory-programmable thresholds (e.g. immediate alarm at 30 ppm). 110–230 V switch-mode power supply, wall-mounted by qualified personnel. Sensor lifetime 6–10 years, replaceable at the factory. Made in Germany – the GX-C300 is your active safety center for dry indoor environments with combustion sources.

The technology of the GX-C300 is uncompromisingly professional: internal electrochemical sensor (TÜV-tested to DIN EN 50291) with intelligent delay to prevent false alarms. The display continuously shows CO-ppm readings, temperature, and status; when thresholds are exceeded, the alarm relay activates, the buzzer sounds, and the display flashes.

The fault relay reports sensor aging or defects. Power supply 110–230 V AC – no batteries, no downtime. Designed for mounting at breathing height, with display readable while standing. Alarm thresholds can be adjusted at the factory (with test report).

The GX-C300 complies with TRGS 900 standards, integrates easily into building automation systems, and provides protection against exhaust backflow, incomplete combustion, or burner faults. More than just a detector, it is active risk management – precise, documented, and reliable.

The GX-C300 is more than a device – it is workplace safety with a display. Whether in a shisha bar with 20 hookahs, an open-flame canteen, a gas boiler room, or an escape route in an underground car park: a faulty exhaust, a forgotten coal, or a leaky burner – the GX-C300 reacts instantly.

Operators comply with safety regulations, employees breathe safely, and facility managers have traceable data. The ppm-accurate display enables trend analysis, while the relays automate safety responses. Its robust design, self-test function, and German engineering make the GX-C300 a long-lasting safety solution. It’s the difference between “everything fine” and “glad we took action.” With the GX-C300, you invest in compliance – and in life.

Applications: Where the GX-C300 Provides Professional Protection

The GX-C300 ensures active CO protection in all dry indoor environments with combustion sources:

  • Shisha lounges & smoking clubs: Instant alarm at 30 ppm – occupational safety guaranteed.
  • Catering & canteens: Open flames and mobile kitchens – relay activates ventilation.
  • Boiler & utility rooms: Gas furnaces, CHP units – shuts down in case of exhaust backflow.
  • Underground car parks & stairwells: Protects escape routes – BMS integration.
  • Industry & workshops: Monitors combustion processes – ensures compliance and traceability.
  • Smart home & building control: Relay-controlled – automatic response.
  • Private households: Retrofit for boiler rooms – family safety ensured.

With the GX-C300, professional CO protection begins at the display – and doesn’t stop at the alarm. It is the TÜV-certified, programmable solution for anyone using combustion who refuses to take risks. ppm-precise measurement, relay control, and German quality make it an essential safety component.

Scope of Delivery

  • GX-C300 CO warning device
  • User manual
  • Installation kit (4 screws and wall plugs)

Safety Instructions

  • Before installation or operation, read the user manual carefully.
  • Installation must be carried out by qualified personnel.
  • Packaging material is not a toy. Keep away from children.

Intended Use

  • The GAS ALARM GX-C300 is a carbon monoxide warning device with an integrated electrochemical sensor for residential and similar indoor spaces.
  • The LCD display continuously shows the operating status and exact CO concentration in ppm of the ambient air.
  • The alarm is both visual and audible; simultaneously, a potential-free relay can activate a magnetic shut-off valve to block gas supply, preventing further CO emissions in case of boiler malfunction.
  • An additional relay switches in case of internal faults detected by the device.
  • The CO sensor, measurement cell, processing unit, and software were fully tested and certified to DIN EN 50291 by TÜV Süd, confirming safety and stability.
  • The device is for fixed installation only and not suitable for explosive atmospheres.
  • Use for any purpose other than described is not permitted.
