CO Alarm GX-C300P for Thermally Demanding Rooms

GX-C300P CO Alarm: Pump-Based Early Warning System for Dust, Heat & Combustion – TÜV Certified

Dusty pellet bunkers, hot saunas, smoky shisha lounges – carbon monoxide lurks everywhere.

The GX-C300P from Elektrotechnik Schabus GmbH & Co. KG actively draws in danger: a built-in diffusion pump pulls air through a 2 m silicone tube (pre-installed) into the measuring cell – providing precise readings even where conventional sensors fail.

The clear-text display shows CO concentration in ppm, temperature, and system status. In case of an alarm (DIN EN 50291 compliant), the 5 A potential-free relay shuts off the hazard source (heating system, ventilation, solenoid valve).

A secondary 60 V DC relay reports faults to building management systems. Loud piezo alarm, flashing display, dust filter (replace annually) included. 230 V switch-mode power supply, wall-mount installation with four screws. Sensor lifetime 6–10 years, alarm thresholds adjustable at the factory. Made in Germany – the GX-C300P is your active safety guard in demanding environments.

The technology of the GX-C300P is built for extreme conditions: a TÜV-tested electrochemical sensor (DIN EN 50291) with intelligent delay to prevent false alarms.

The pump extracts air from up to 4 m away (minimum 1 m in hot environments) – perfect for pellet dust, sauna steam, or exhaust gases in CHP units. Measurements update every 30 seconds, continuous 24/7 operation. Two relays: one switches during CO threshold exceedance (e.g., ventilation or shut-off valve), the other reports sensor or cable faults. The display logs operating data, and the integrated power supply ensures energy efficiency.

The hose length is adjustable; the dust filter protects the sensor chamber. Factory programming available on request (with test report). The GX-C300P is more than a detector – it is an active safety management system: documented, configurable, and reliable.

The GX-C300P is more than a device – it’s the bodyguard for challenging environments. Whether in a woodchip bunker filled with dust clouds, a gas-heated sauna at 80 °C, a shisha lounge with 20 pipes, or a commercial kitchen with open flames: the pump draws air directly from the source while the sensor remains protected. Operators meet TRGS 900 standards, technicians avoid downtime, and safety officers have complete documentation.

The automatic shutdown prevents poisoning; the display serves as an event log. Its rugged design, self-testing system, and German engineering make the GX-C300P a trustworthy long-term safety solution in harsh conditions. It’s the difference between “everything’s fine” and “good thing the pump was running.” With the GX-C300P, you invest in security – security that breathes, even when you can’t.

The GX-C300P at a Glance:

  • ppm-precise display: Illuminated, records temperature and operating status.
  • Two relays: 5 A alarm (shutdown), 60 V DC fault relay (BMS connection).
  • Dust filter: Replaceable annually – ensures long sensor life (6–10 years).
  • Custom configuration: Factory programmable with test report.
  • Mounting kit: Includes 2 m hose, 4 screws, and dust filter.
  • Made in Germany: Premium quality, service, and durability from Schabus.

Applications: Where the GX-C300P Pumps and Protects

The GX-C300P provides active CO protection in all thermally and dusty environments with combustion sources:

  • Pellet or woodchip bunkers: Pump draws air from dust clouds – relay activates ventilation.
  • Gas saunas: Measures accurately even at 80 °C – automatic shutdown upon CO detection.
  • Shisha lounges and smoking clubs: Occupational safety for 20+ pipes – instant alarm.
  • CHP and cogeneration systems: Monitors exhaust gases in tight machine rooms.
  • Catering and mobile kitchens: Use near open flames – hose placed at cooking site.
  • Underground garages and stairwells: Pump draws from exhaust zones – protects escape routes.
  • Industry and warehouses: Monitors dusty combustion areas – ensures compliance.

With the GX-C300P, CO protection begins where the air is heaviest – and doesn’t stop at the alarm. It’s the pump-driven, relay-controlled solution for anyone working in heat and dust. Active air extraction, ppm-accurate measurement, and German manufacturing make it an essential safety component.

Scope of Delivery

  • GX-C300P CO warning device
  • 2 m hose (part no. 21002)
  • Dust filter (part no. 300259) with small screw, wall plug, and 2 cable ties
  • User manual and mounting kit (4 screws, 4 wall plugs, 2 screwdrivers, 2 large + 1 small PG glands)

Safety Instructions

  • Before installation or operation, read the manual carefully.
  • Packaging material is not a toy. Keep out of reach of children.
  • Installation must be performed by qualified personnel.
  • The GAS ALARM GX-C300P may only be installed indoors in dry environments, mounted on a wall. The installation height should allow comfortable display reading while standing to ensure proper operation.

Intended Use

  • The GAS ALARM GX-C300P is a carbon monoxide warning device with an integrated electrochemical sensor for residential, commercial, and small-business use.
  • The LCD display continuously shows the operating status and the exact CO concentration in ppm in the monitored area, which may be exposed to heat or dust.
  • The unit is connected to the monitored space via an air hose.
  • Alarms are both acoustic and visual; simultaneously, a potential-free relay is activated to control ventilation or lock a gas solenoid valve, preventing further CO emissions in case of appliance malfunction.
