Gas Alarm GX-D33

GX-D33 CO2 Alarm: Socket Protection for Kitchenettes with Carbonators – DIN EN 6653-2

A leak in the CO2 cylinder – and the kitchenette becomes a hazard.

The GX-D33 from Elektrotechnik Schabus GmbH & Co. KG makes this risk visible: simply plug it into the lower socket, wait 3 minutes, protected. The internal infrared sensor detects CO2 at 3.0 %vol (DIN EN 6653-2) and is precisely tuned to technical leaks, not to exhaled air.

In case of alarm, a piercing piezo tone sounds, the red LED flashes, and immediate evacuation is recommended. Maintenance-free, long service life (no water contact). Half-yearly breath test recommended. Ideal for office kitchenettes, beverage dispensers, cold rooms, and dry ice storage. Consult your trade association/occupational safety authority before installation.

Made in Germany – the GX-D33 is your invisible guardian in the break room.

The GX-D33 technology is precise and compliant: a highly stable infrared sensor (NDIR) measures CO2 selectively, high thresholds prevent false alarms from ambient air (approx. 0.04–0.1 %). Alarm at 3 %vol – sufficient for leaks from pressurized cylinders but tolerant of human presence.

Fully operational after 3 minutes of preheating. 230 V socket operation, no battery, no failure. Installation near the floor (CO2 is heavier than air), close to the cylinders. The GX-D33 complies with DIN EN 6653-2, is the smart complement to ventilation concepts, and protects against suffocation in small spaces. It is not just a detector but active occupational safety – simple, reliable, and locally attuned.

The GX-D33 is more than a device – it is break-time safety. Whether an office kitchenette with SodaStream, a hospitality dispenser system, a cold room with dry ice, or a storage area with CO2 bottles: a leaky regulator, a porous line, a toppled container – and the GX-D33 sounds the alarm. Employees breathe freely, employers meet safety regulations, and facility managers have documentation.

The high threshold avoids nuisance alarms, and the loud siren saves lives. The robust design, maintenance-free sensor, and German workmanship make the GX-D33 a long-term performer in any kitchenette. It proves that safety can be unobtrusive. With the GX-D33, you invest in wellbeing – the peace of mind that comes from controlled CO2 safety.

Fields of application: where the GX-D33 warns reliably

The GX-D33 ensures leak safety in all rooms where CO2 cylinders are used:

  • Office kitchenettes: Carbonator bottles – protects colleagues during breaks.
  • Beverage dispenser systems: Gastronomy, bars – alarm at regulator leaks.
  • Cold rooms: Dry ice storage – prevents suffocation.
  • Industry & storage: CO2 cylinders for welding, processes – occupational safety.
  • Laboratories & schools: CO2 for experiments – safety for students.
  • Events & mobile kitchens: Temporary carbonators – mobile protection.
  • Small businesses: Kitchenette with large cylinder – guaranteed compliance.

With the GX-D33, CO2 protection starts at the socket and does not end with the alarm. It is the standard-compliant, simple solution for anyone using CO2 who wants zero risk.

The infrared sensor, loud alarm, and German quality make it the indispensable guardian of your break room.
