Gas Alarm GX-D500P

GX-D500P CO₂ Alarm Device: Professional Pump System for Extreme Environments – from -70 to +120 °C

Whether it’s arctic cold in a dry ice storage room, tropical heat in a greenhouse, or dust in a meat refrigeration facility – CO₂ leaks are life-threatening everywhere.

The GX-D500P from Elektrotechnik Schabus GmbH & Co. KG actively draws in danger: an integrated pump samples air through a 2 m silicone hose (pre-installed) plus a dust filter to the protected NDIR sensor. Pre-alarm at 1.5% CO₂, main alarm + shutdown at 3.0% (DIN 6653-2).

The large backlit display shows the CO₂ ppm value, temperature, and status – ideally installed next to the door to check before entering. Two potential-free relays (230 V~/5 A alarm + 60 V=/5 A fault) control ventilation, solenoid valves, or building management systems. Optionally self-calibratable via USB. Consult your trade association or occupational safety authorities before installation. Made in Germany – the GX-D500P is your active bodyguard in thermally demanding environments.

The technology of the GX-D500P is designed for extreme conditions: the high-stability NDIR sensor is protected inside the device, while the thick-walled silicone hose withstands temperatures from -70 °C (2 m) up to +120 °C.

At least 1 m of hose should be inside the wall duct for thermal equalization. The dust filter protects against contamination. Alarm thresholds are fixed according to DIN 6653-2 – no false alarms from people, immediate response to leaks from gas cylinders or processes.

The display stores the last alarm values, counts events, and shows error codes. Relays de-energize in alarm/fault state – ensuring safe forced ventilation or shutoff. Self-test and optional zero-point calibration via USB adapter. The GX-D500P meets the highest occupational safety standards and is the smart solution for cold rooms, greenhouses, beverage systems, and dry ice handling.

The GX-D500P is more than a device – it is a survival guarantee in harsh environments. Whether -40 °C in vaccine storage, +60 °C in a greenhouse, dust in meat cooling, or humidity in a brewery: a leaking valve, a broken hose, or a faulty tank – the GX-D500P reacts in stages.

Staff can see the CO₂ ppm value before entering, ventilation starts automatically, and authorities are satisfied. The hose bridges extreme conditions, while the display logs all information. The robust design, low-maintenance NDIR sensor, and German craftsmanship make the GX-D500P a long-term solution.

The GX-D500P at a glance:

  • Air sampling with hose: 2 m silicone, -70 to +120 °C, including dust filter.
  • Dual alarm thresholds: 1.5% pre-alarm + 3.0% main alarm (DIN 6653-2).
  • 2 relays: 230 V~/5 A (ventilation/shutoff) + 60 V=/5 A fault (BMS).
  • Text display: ppm value, temperature, alarm history, error codes.
  • Self-calibration: Optional via USB adapter – easy drift correction.
  • Installation next to door: Check before entry – maximum safety.
  • Complete set: Hose, filter, screws, wall plugs, fittings, screwdrivers.
  • Made in Germany: Top quality, service, and durability from Schabus.

Applications: Where the GX-D500P pumps and protects

The GX-D500P provides active protection in all thermally extreme or dusty environments with CO₂ risk:

  • Dry ice storage & vaccine centers: -70 °C – hose bridges cold zones.
  • Greenhouses & plant production: +60–120 °C + humidity – heat resistant.
  • Meat/sausage cooling rooms: Dust + cold – filter protects sensor.
  • Beverage dispensing systems: Basements with high humidity – reliable monitoring.
  • Breweries & fermentation cellars: Temperature fluctuations – display outside the door.
  • Cold storage & deep freeze areas: Extreme low temperatures – relay activates ventilation.
  • Food & industrial sectors: Dusty CO₂ processes – compliance guaranteed.

With the GX-D500P, CO₂ protection begins outside the room and works precisely where the risk originates. It is the pump-driven, relay-controlled professional solution for extreme conditions. The air intake system, informative display, and German quality make it indispensable.
