Gas Alarm GX-A1+

GAS ALARM GX-A1+: Your Reliable Protection Against Invisible Dangers

In a world where invisible threats such as gas leaks can lurk, the GX-A1+ gas alarm from Elektrotechnik Schabus GmbH & Co. KG is more than just a device – it is your unbeatable guardian for a safe home, office, or business premises.

Imagine sleeping peacefully while a system quietly monitors the air quality in the background and reacts instantly at the first sign of a problem.

This innovative universal gas warning device combines utmost precision with user-friendly operation, allowing you to fully focus on your daily life without constantly thinking about potential risks. With its flexible adjustment to various gases such as natural gas, town gas, carbon monoxide, or CO₂, the GX-A1+ offers all-round safety that not only protects lives but also prevents costly damage.

The company Elektrotechnik Schabus, known for its German engineering excellence, has created a masterpiece: a device that not only warns but also actively intervenes to minimize dangers. Whether in the kitchen, basement, or technical rooms – the GX-A1+ adapts seamlessly and ensures you are never alone when it comes to your safety.

The strength of the GX-A1+ lies in its intelligent technology that goes far beyond simple alarms.

The device supplies the external sensor with stable power, continuously monitors environmental conditions, and responds instantly to deviations.

A clear, backlit display shows all relevant data in real-time – from current sensor voltage to detailed system status messages. In case of danger, it activates not only a penetrating acoustic alarm via a loud piezo sounder but also visual signals through flashing lights that cannot be missed, even in noisy or dark environments.

Particularly impressive are the five detection levels, ranging from a gentle pre-alarm at 2.0 volts to a full main alarm at 2.5 volts. This graduated warning gives you valuable seconds to react, whether by opening a window or switching off a gas source.

And the best part: Two potential-free relay outputs allow seamless integration into your smart home system or direct control of valves and heating systems, making the GX-A1+ not just an alarm, but an active safety component. In times when energy efficiency and automation are key, this gas alarm makes your life not only safer but also smarter.

What truly sets the GX-A1+ apart is its effortless integration into daily life and remarkable compatibility with existing systems.

As a direct successor of the proven GX-A1 model, it retains all connections, making upgrades in older buildings a breeze – no lengthy rewiring or cable chaos needed.

Installation is child’s play: mount the sturdy housing base to the wall using the provided screws and plugs, slide in the electronics, close it – and within minutes, the system is ready.

A highlight is the smart 48-hour relay release during sensor issues, preventing your heating system from shutting down while you obtain a replacement. The remaining time counts down visibly on the display, keeping you informed.

In addition, the optional IP65 protection rating enables use in damp environments such as basements or garages. Elektrotechnik Schabus has not only prioritized safety but also durability: the maintenance cycle adapts to the sensor type, minimizing effort, while integrated fault monitoring detects irregularities early. With the GX-A1+, you invest in peace – the peace that comes from knowing that professionals from Germany guard your family and property.

The GX-A1+ impresses with its versatile applications and practical features, making it a must-have for modern households and businesses. Let’s take a closer look at the highlights:

  • Flexible sensor selection: Adapt the detector to your needs – from natural gas and propane to butane, ethanol, CO₂, dry ice, or refrigerants such as R32, R404a, and R410a.
  • Smart alarm functions: Acoustic piezo alarm for loud warnings and optical blinking on the display ensure immediate attention. The precise mV display shows gas values, temperature, and error codes in real time.
  • Automated control: Two potential-free changeover relays (up to 5 A) switch solenoid valves, gas boilers, or ventilation systems on or off. Perfect for automatic hazard shutdowns that prevent damage.
  • Robust operation: Works reliably at 110–230 V AC, with IP20 protection (IP65 optional). The integrated line monitoring detects faults early and reports them to your building control system.
  • Easy maintenance: Service button for access to alarm counter, software version, and diagnostic data. Maintenance intervals depend on the sensor, but the system minimizes downtime through smart features like relay release.
  • Comprehensive scope of delivery: Includes warning device without sensor, mounting accessories, and detailed manual – all you need for a quick start.

Applications: Where the GX-A1+ Excels

The GX-A1+ is a true all-rounder suitable for a wide range of scenarios. Here are some typical areas where it increases safety and comfort:

  • Private households: In kitchens or heating rooms, it monitors natural or LPG leaks, prevents explosions, and protects families from CO poisoning. Ideal for older buildings with gas connections.
  • Gastronomy and bars: Monitors CO₂ bottles and draft systems, warns against overdoses, and ensures fresh air in confined spaces – essential for both guests and staff.
  • Technical and storage rooms: Monitors dry ice storage or cooling systems in supermarkets and warehouses, detects R410a leaks early, and integrates with alarm systems.
  • Industry and workshops: In production halls, it protects against methane or propane, automatically controls ventilation, and complies with safety standards such as DIN 50391.
  • Offices and public buildings: For CO₂ monitoring in meeting rooms or parking garages – reduces headaches and increases productivity through improved air quality.
  • Agriculture and greenhouses: Detects ethanol vapors or CO₂ fluctuations, optimizes ventilation, and protects plants and workers from health risks.

With the GX-A1+, you choose not just a product but a long-term safety partner. The combination of innovative sensor technology, easy handling, and robust design makes it the top choice for anyone who refuses to compromise on protection.
