The Akuvox AV-S538 is a video intercom that combines a doorbell and door opener in a single device. It is designed for high-end residential and commercial properties. Its slim Space Grey housing accommodates an 8-inch touchscreen and multiple keyless access methods, including Bluetooth and face recognition.

How the AV-S538 is built
The AV-S538 is a door station with a slim aluminium front panel. Camera module, display, card reader and connections are combined in one device.

The stylish dark aluminium surface defines the appearance. The robust, vandal-resistant housing is weatherproof to IP66 and impact-resistant to IK8.
Camera module in the upper area
In the upper section sits the multifunctional camera module: the 5-megapixel main camera (wide-angle, HDR, BLC, Starlight), the camera for liveness detection and the camera for QR scanning. It also includes a white-light LED and a light sensor.
Radar and motion sensing
Motion detection combines radar and image analysis. This allows detection zones and distances to be defined and suspicious activities to be reported.
8-inch IPS touchscreen
Below is the large touchscreen for operation. It displays information and allows, for example, PIN entry and access to the system functions.
Card reader and NFC
The integrated reader recognises ID cards and tags at 13.56 MHz and 125 kHz frequencies, including EM, MIFARE, DESFire and Felica cards. Door opening via NFC (Android only) is also possible.
Dual audio: microphones and speaker
Two microphones and a speaker enable real-time two-way conversation. The anti-echo function ensures clear communication.
Connections on the rear of the device
The network connection (RJ45) provides LAN connectivity and, via PoE+, also power supply; alternatively an external power supply can be used. For door openers, detectors and other components there are 3 relay outputs, 3 alarm inputs, a Wiegand interface, RS485 and a line-out. There is also a power output for supplying external components. OSDP is supported.
