The Akuvox AV-C316S SILVER is an Android-based indoor video station with a 7-inch capacitive touchscreen. It serves as a central control unit for Akuvox intercoms: incoming calls from up to eight door stations are displayed with a live image, and the door can be opened directly via the touchscreen. Thanks to Android 12 as the operating system, the video station also offers advanced functions that go beyond a classic door intercom.
More than just door communication: Since the AV-C316S SILVER runs on Android 12, it can additionally be used as a small multimedia display, for example for videos, music or smart home applications. With 2 GB RAM and 8 GB internal storage, sufficient performance is available for this. Network connection is exclusively wired via Ethernet; power is supplied either via Power over Ethernet (802.3af) or an external 12V DC power supply.
In addition to pure door communication, the AV-C316S SILVER can also display live images from connected surveillance cameras via RTSP with H.264 codec, serving as a small control station for both door and camera in a single device.

How the AV-C316S SILVER Is Built
The housing of the AV-C316S SILVER is kept compact so that the video station blends unobtrusively into residential and commercial spaces.
Front Panel with Touchscreen
The front is made of silver-coloured ABS plastic and is completely dominated by the 7-inch capacitive touchscreen, through which all operation is performed.
Microphone and Speaker
Discreetly built into the housing, the microphone (-58 dB) and speaker (4Ω/2W) handle bidirectional voice communication with echo cancellation.
Android System in the Background
With 2 GB RAM and 8 GB internal storage (ROM), an Android 12 system runs inside, which can execute additional apps alongside door communication.
Rear Connections
On the rear there are two RJ45 Ethernet ports (PoE-capable), one relay output, one doorbell input, eight alarm inputs/outputs as well as interfaces for Wiegand and RS485 and a 12V DC socket for external power supply.
Wired Network
The AV-C316S SILVER connects to the network exclusively via Ethernet; a Wi-Fi module is not installed in this variant.
Mounting
The video station can be used both wall-mounted and as a desktop device.

The AV-C316S SILVER is designed as a SIP endpoint and can be combined with both Akuvox door stations and other network components.

For video transmission, the AV-C316S SILVER supports the streaming formats H.263 and H.264. For audio transmission, the narrowband codecs G.711a, G.711µ and G.729 as well as the wideband codec G.722 are used, supplemented by DTMF support (In-Band, Out-of-Band according to RFC2833 as well as SIP Info), echo cancellation, voice activity detection, a comfort noise generator and automatic gain control. On the network side, the device supports, among others, IPv4, HTTP(S), FTP, TFTP, SNMP, DNS, SNTP, RTSP, SRTP, RTP, TCP, UDP, TLS, ICMP, DHCP and ARP.
