The Akuvox AV-S562W GRAY is a Linux-based indoor video station with a 7-inch capacitive touchscreen. It serves as a central control unit for Akuvox intercoms: incoming calls from door stations are displayed with a live image, and the door can be opened directly via the touchscreen. Alternatively, an RJ45 network port with Power over Ethernet is still available. Power is supplied accordingly via PoE (802.3af) or an external 12V DC power supply.

In addition to pure door communication, the AV-S562W GRAY can also display live images from connected surveillance cameras via RTSP with H.264 codec, serving as a small control station for both door and camera in a single device.

For audio transmission, the AV-S562W GRAY uses the codecs G.711a, G.711µ, G.729 and G.722, supplemented by DTMF support (In-Band, Out-of-Band according to RFC2833 as well as SIP Info) and an anti-echo function. On the network side, the device supports, among others, IPv4, HTTP(S), FTP, SNMP, DNS, NTP, RTSP, RTP, TCP, UDP, ICMP, DHCP and ARP – video is processed in H.264 format.
