The Android Video Station with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Voice Distortion

The Akuvox AV-S563W GRAY is an Android-based indoor video station with an 8-inch capacitive touchscreen. It serves as a central control unit for Akuvox intercoms: incoming calls are displayed with a live image, and the door can be opened directly via the touchscreen. Thanks to Android 12 as the operating system and a high-quality speaker, the video station offers a particularly clear audio-video experience.

Wirelessly networked: The AV-S563W GRAY connects to the network or other devices optionally via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. Alternatively, an RJ45 network port with Power over Ethernet is still available. Power is supplied accordingly via PoE (802.3af) or an external 12V DC power supply.

Special protection for vulnerable persons: An integrated voice distortion function can transform the user’s own voice into an adult male voice. This way, a stranger at the door does not learn that, for example, a child, a woman or an elderly person is at home alone and answering.

Integration into Existing Systems

The AV-S563W GRAY is designed as a SIP endpoint and can be combined with both Akuvox door stations and other network components.

For video transmission, the AV-S563W GRAY supports the streaming formats H.263 and H.264. For audio transmission, the narrowband codecs G.711a, G.711µ and G.729 as well as the wideband codec G.722 are used, supplemented by DTMF support (In-Band, Out-of-Band according to RFC2833 as well as SIP Info), echo cancellation, voice activity detection and a comfort noise generator. On the network side, the device supports, among others, IPv4, HTTP(S), FTP, TFTP, SNMP, DNS, SNTP, RTSP, SRTP, RTP, TCP, UDP, TLS, ICMP, DHCP and ARP.
