The Akuvox AV-X937 is a 15.6-inch indoor video station running Android 14. Akuvox positions it as the first indoor monitor of its kind that combines video surveillance, door intercom function and an AI-powered voice assistant in a single, generous interface. Instead of multiple separate devices for intercom, camera monitoring and smart home control, the AV-X937 handles all these tasks centrally from one place in the home.

Voice-controlled operation: The integrated AI voice assistant is based on a large language model (LLM) and understands natural language instructions such as “Show me the camera at the front door” instead of only processing rigid commands. This allows both the X937 itself and connected third-party systems such as NVRs or smart home devices to be controlled.

Thanks to Google GMS certification, the X937 also opens access to millions of apps from the Google Play Store, allowing the range of functions to be expanded with streaming, productivity and entertainment.

How the AV-X937 Is Built

The AV-X937 is designed as a self-contained unit with an aluminium front panel. From the screen side to the rear connections, the device can be divided into the following areas:

Voice Control with True Language Understanding

Unlike classic voice command systems with fixed command words, the Akuvox AI voice assistant understands contextual, natural language.

Integration into Existing Systems

The AV-X937 is designed as an open SIP and Android device and can be integrated into existing voice and video environments.

For voice transmission, the AV-X937 uses the audio codecs G.711a, G.711µ and G.729 (narrowband) as well as G.722 (wideband), supplemented by DTMF support (In-Band, Out-of-Band according to RFC2833, SIP Info). On the network side, the device supports, among others, IPv4, IPv6, HTTP(S), FTP, TFTP, SNMP, DNS, SNTP, RTSP, SRTP, RTP, TCP, UDP, TLS, ICMP, DHCP and ARP.

Maintenance and Operation from a Distance

For professional operation and remote maintenance, the AV-X937 includes several administrative functions.

Commissioning in a Few Steps

Setting up the AV-X937 can be completed quickly even without prior knowledge.

1. Set up or mount the device and connect the Ethernet/PoE+ cable, or alternatively use a 12 V DC power supply
2. Perform the basic setup via the web interface or directly on the touchscreen
3. Integrate into an existing SIP telephone system or pair with Akuvox door stations
4. Optional: Connect an NVR via HDMI and set up camera channels
5. Optional: Set up Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and a Google account for app access
