Web-Thermo Hygrobarometer

Comprehensive Climate Monitoring with the Web Thermo-Hygrobarometer by Wiesemann & Theis

The Web Thermo-Hygrobarometer from Wiesemann & Theis is a high-precision, network-capable multi-sensor device that simultaneously measures temperature (-40 °C … +85 °C), relative humidity (0 … 100% RH), and air pressure (10 … 1100 hPa). It is ideally suited for comprehensive climate monitoring in server rooms, data centers, production halls, warehouses, museums, or offices.

The device automatically calculates the dew point and supports professional monitoring applications with its integrated data logger (up to 20 years), modern Industry 4.0 compatibility (MQTT, REST, OPC UA), and flexible alarm notifications via e-mail, SNMP trap, or Syslog.

Thanks to Power-over-Ethernet (PoE), high noise immunity, and optional DAkkS calibration, it meets the highest standards of reliability and accuracy. With a 5-year warranty, it is the ideal solution for Green IT projects, building automation, and climate-controlled environments.

Technical highlights at a glance

  • Temperature: -40 °C … +85 °C
  • Relative humidity: 0 … 100% RH (permissible 0 … 95% non-condensing)
  • Air pressure: 10 … 1100 hPa
  • Dew point calculation
  • Integrated data logger: min. 7 weeks to max. 20 years
  • PoE (Class 1) or external power supply 12–48 V DC
  • MQTT, REST, OPC UA, Modbus-TCP, SNMP v3
  • Up to 12 individual alarms (including combined alarms)
  • Optional DAkkS or ISO factory calibration
  • 5-year warranty

Three sensors – one device

The Web Thermo-Hygrobarometer combines three high-precision sensors in one compact housing:

  • Temperature sensor: -40 °C to +85 °C
  • Humidity sensor: 0 … 100% RH (operational up to 95% RH non-condensing)
  • Air pressure sensor: 10 … 1100 hPa (absolute)

From these values, the device automatically calculates the dew point—a key factor in preventing condensation damage in server rooms and control cabinets.

Powerful data logger and cloud integration

All three measured variables, including the calculated dew point, are stored in the internal data logger. Depending on the sampling rate (15 s to 60 min), storage capacity covers a minimum of 7 weeks up to a maximum of 20 years. The battery-backed real-time clock stays synchronized even during power outages (via NTP). Measurement data can be uploaded automatically via FTP, e-mail attachment, or directly to the W&T Cloud, providing worldwide access to historical climate data at any time.

Modern Industry 4.0 interfaces

The Web Thermo-Hygrobarometer is fully ready for IoT and Industry 4.0 applications:

  • MQTT – direct integration with cloud and IoT platforms
  • REST API – easy integration into custom web applications
  • OPC UA – standard in industrial automation
  • Modbus-TCP – connection to PLC and SCADA systems
  • SNMP v1/v2c/v3 – integration into existing monitoring systems
  • Syslog, TCP/UDP sockets, FTP, Sensobase (ODBC)
  • Current measurement values can be dynamically embedded in dashboards or building management systems using JavaScript (AJAX).

Flexible alarm functions – including combined alarms

Up to 12 individual alarms can be freely configured—individually for temperature, humidity, air pressure, or dew point, as well as for combined conditions (e.g., “Temperature > 28 °C AND Humidity > 60%”). When a threshold is exceeded, the device automatically sends:

  • E-mails (also as periodic reports)
  • SNMP traps
  • Syslog messages
  • MQTT publish messages
  • TCP/UDP notifications

This allows early detection of critical climate conditions and prevents condensation risks.

Easy installation and reliable power supply

The device is preferably powered via Power-over-Ethernet (PoE Class 1), making it ideal for ceiling, wall, or control cabinet installations without a separate power line.

Alternatively, an external power supply with 12–48 V DC via pluggable screw terminals is possible. The RJ45 network connection is galvanically isolated and supports 10/100 MBit/s with Auto-MDIX.

Standards, calibration, and warranty

The Web Thermo-Hygrobarometer meets the highest quality standards:

  • High noise immunity according to EN 61000-6-2
  • Low emissions according to EN 55032:2015 + A1 Class B
  • Optional ISO factory calibration or DAkkS calibration with certificate
  • 5-year manufacturer’s warranty

Typical applications

  • Server room and data center monitoring (condensation protection)
  • Network cabinets and IT infrastructure
  • Production halls, warehouses, and clean rooms
  • Museums, archives, and climate chambers
  • Pharmaceutical and food storage (HACCP)
  • Offices and conference rooms
  • Green IT projects for climate optimization
  • Weather stations and environmental monitoring

The Web Thermo-Hygrobarometer from Wiesemann & Theis is the perfect all-in-one solution for professional climate monitoring. It simultaneously measures temperature, humidity, and air pressure, calculates the dew point, and reliably warns of critical conditions.

Whether used as a stand-alone unit with e-mail alerts, as an IoT sensor with MQTT, or as part of a complex building management system via OPC UA, it impresses with its precision, ease of use, and durable quality.

With optional DAkkS calibration, PoE power supply, and a 5-year warranty, it is the first choice for IT administrators, facility managers, and anyone responsible for maintaining stable climate conditions.
