The Web Thermometer Pt100 / Pt1000 from Wiesemann & Theis is a high-precision, network-capable measuring device for detecting temperatures in the range of -200 °C to +650 °C (measuring input) or -50 °C to +180 °C with the supplied W&T Pt100 sensor.

The device features an integrated data logger with up to 20 years of storage capacity, an intuitive web interface, and supports modern Industry 4.0 protocols such as MQTT, REST, and OPC UA.

Thanks to Power-over-Ethernet (PoE), galvanic isolation, high noise immunity, and optional DAkkS or ISO factory calibration, the Web Thermometer is suitable for both critical server room monitoring and demanding industrial applications. Precise temperature measurement with Pt100/Pt1000

The Web Thermometer supports both Pt100 and Pt1000 sensors in 2-, 3-, or 4-wire technology and automatically compensates line resistances. The supplied 2 m long Pt100 sensor covers the range -50 °C to +180 °C and can be easily extended.

The actual measuring input is designed for extreme temperatures from -200 °C to +650 °C – ideal for cold storage rooms, ovens, or process monitoring. The measured values are recorded with a resolution of 0.1 °C and are accessible at any time via the web interface or network protocol.

Integrated data logger and cloud connectivity

The internal data logger stores measurement values according to the selected sampling rate (15 s to 60 min) for between 16 weeks and 20 years. The battery-backed real-time clock remains synchronized even during a power failure – timestamps are always accurate thanks to NTP synchronization.

Alternatively, measurement data can be automatically uploaded via FTP, e-mail attachment, or directly to the W&T Cloud, providing global access to historical temperature data at any time.

Alarming and Green IT

Up to 12 individual alarms can be configured freely (threshold, hysteresis, delay). In case of threshold violation, the device automatically sends:

  • E-mails (also as periodic reports)
  • SNMP traps
  • Syslog messages
  • MQTT publish
  • TCP/UDP messages

The Web Thermometer helps data centers monitor cooling efficiency and reduce energy costs – an important contribution to Green IT.

Easy installation and reliable power supply

The device can be powered either via Power-over-Ethernet (PoE Class 1, max. 3.84 W) or externally with 12–48 V DC. The connection is made via a pluggable screw terminal. The RJ45 network connector is galvanically isolated (≥ 1500 V) and supports 10/100 MBit/s with Auto-MDIX. IPv6 is available on request.
