Remote Monitoring with LAN and LTE Backup
The HW group Perseus Monitoring 145 is a solution for remote monitoring of on-site environmental conditions via LAN – and thanks to the integrated LTE modem, also when no LAN connection is available or fails. The device combines data from externally connected physical sensors and detectors with data from other HWg devices integrated over the network. Local conditions, Lua scripting, a calendar or a periodic scheduler help evaluate the measured data – with a capacity of up to 1,000 variables.
Alarm situations can be indicated locally via relay outputs (DO), sent as standalone alarms (SMS, call, e-mail – also via the internal LTE modem) or evaluated via the SensDesk portal with graphs, virtual sensors, device failure alerts and PDF reports. The Perseus 145 can also provide all measured values individually via the open API (SNMP, MQTT, Modbus/TCP, XML).
Sensors, Detectors, LTE Backup and Other Network Devices in One System
The Perseus Monitoring 145 combines classic sensor connections with the evaluation of other devices on the same LAN – and remains reachable even in the event of an Ethernet failure thanks to the LTE modem.

Globally deployable LTE modem for backup connectivity to the portal as well as SMS and call alarms; can also be used as an SMS gateway for other HWg devices. SIM card not included.
4x RJ11 (1-Wire UNI)

How the Perseus Monitoring 145 Is Built
The robust metal housing is compact at approx. 35 x 111 x 140 mm, with protection class IP40 and designed for operating temperatures from -30°C to 65°C.
Metal Housing
Robust metal housing for IT, SoHo and industrial environments, optionally mountable on a desk or in a rack (optional mounting plate "Mount plate F-1U" available according to the manufacturer for Perseus Monitoring 140/145).
Ethernet Port with Web Server
One RJ45 Ethernet port (100BASE-T) connects the device to the network; an integrated web server enables configuration directly via the browser.
LTE Modem with SIM Slot and External SMA Antenna
Internal, globally deployable LTE modem with SIM card slot and connection for an external SMA antenna. Serves as a backup channel to the portal as well as for SMS and call alarms; SIM card and antenna are not included with the base unit.
Sensor Connections
Four RJ11 ports for 1-Wire/1-Wire UNI sensors and a 4-pin RS-485 terminal block (including 12V) for Modbus/RTU sensors.
WLD, DI and DO Terminals
One WLD zone connection for the water leak sensor cable (A/B), four terminals for digital dry-contact inputs and two relay outputs (up to 50V/1000mA) for controlling external actuators.
Power Supply
The Perseus 145 is powered either via a barrel connector (2.1/5.5 mm) or via a terminal block with 9–30 V DC (power consumption approx. 500 mA).
Status Indicators
LEDs on the front of the device indicate, among other things, status, alarm and WLD state.

The Meters API is a unique feature of the Perseus product line: the device additionally reads sensor values from external LAN devices and includes them in analyses and alarms.

Additionally e-mail, SMS, voice calls, device failure alert (Device Invalid Alert), alarm escalation and group alarms – the portal connection remains intact even in the event of an Ethernet failure thanks to LTE backup.

Commissioning in a Few Steps
Setting up the Perseus Monitoring 145 is done entirely via the web browser.
- Place the device on a desk or optionally mount it in a rack
- Connect the power supply (9–30 V DC; power supply already included with the Tset variant)
- Connect the device to the network via Ethernet cable
- Optional: insert SIM card and screw the LTE antenna onto the SMA connector (antenna included with the Tset variant; SIM card not included with either variant)
- Open the device’s IP address in the browser (initial search e.g. possible with HWg-Config)
- Connect 1-Wire UNI sensors to the RJ11 ports or Modbus/RTU sensors to the RS-485 terminal block
