The smartCabinet Sensor (CAS) from AKCess Pro® revolutionizes IT rack monitoring in server rooms and data centers through its innovative combination of differential pressure, temperature, and humidity measurement. As an intelligent multi-sensor, it offers a complete solution for rack monitoring in 19-inch IT racks and ensures optimal operating conditions for critical IT infrastructures.

Continuous server room monitoring is achieved by six precise temperature sensors and two humidity sensors, which capture both the front and rear of the IT rack. The integrated differential pressure sensor additionally monitors the pressure conditions between the cold and hot aisles, which is essential for efficient hot aisle/cold aisle configurations.

Technical Specifications and Measurement Accuracy

Temperature Monitoring

The CAS features six temperature sensors with a measuring range of -40°C to +75°C (-40°F to +167°F). The high measurement resolution of 0.1°C (0.2°F) with a maximum deviation of ±0.3°C guarantees precise temperature measurements for critical applications. Additionally, the system automatically calculates three differential temperature values between the front and rear of the rack.

Humidity Measurement

Two high-precision humidity sensors cover the full range from 0 to 100% relative humidity with a resolution of 1% RH. At 25°C, the measurement accuracy is ±2% RH, meeting the strict requirements of professional data centers.

Differential Pressure Monitoring

The integrated differential pressure sensor measures pressure differences of ±125 Pa (±0.5 inH2O / ±1.25 mbar) with a resolution of 0.01 Pa. This precise monitoring is essential for functional control of cold aisle/hot aisle containment and ensures optimal airflow in the server cabinet.

With dimensions of just 75 x 55 x 27 mm and various mounting options (desktop, wall mount, DIN rail, magnetic), the CAS adapts flexibly to different rack configurations. The maximum cable length of 18 meters via standard CAT5/6 cabling allows flexible sensor placement.
