The COMET P3116 is a cost-effective 4–20 mA transmitter with an external, replaceable temperature and humidity probe – the economical solution for building automation, warehouse monitoring, climate chambers, ventilation systems, cold rooms, or simple process control. Thanks to the digital probe (DIGIL/E series) and the supplied calibration certificate, the probe is 100 % interchangeable – without recalibration at the device and independent of cable length. Simply plug in the probe and start measuring – perfect for COMET devices or any 4–20 mA connection.

The external probe measures temperature from –20 to +80 °C (±0.4 °C) and humidity from 0 to 100 %RH (±1.8 %RH in the range 0–90 % at 23 °C). The dew point is calculated automatically. The output is freely scalable – you define via PC the measuring range and which variable (T, RH, or dew point) is transmitted. The weatherproof IP65 enclosure (electronics) and IP40 sensor make the P3116 a reliable partner for indoor and outdoor applications (–30 to +80 °C). The 1‑meter cable probe allows flexible placement.

The galvanically isolated 4–20 mA output protects against ground loops and interference. The probe is long-term stable and supplied with a traceable calibration certificate (in accordance with EN ISO/IEC 17025) – solid quality at an affordable price.
