This cabinet access control solution can be effortlessly integrated into existing infrastructures and connects seamlessly with any sensorProbe+ base unit via a single CAT5 cable, which ensures both communication and power supply.

Advanced Security Features and Access Management

With the Server Cabinet Lock, you gain complete control over your critical IT infrastructure. The integrated proximity card reader system supports EM-Card and 125kHz proximity cards (K4100/EM4100/EM4200/T5577) with a reading range of 0–3 cm for the standard version and 0–5 cm for the SHL-DA variant with dual authentication.

The fail-secure technology guarantees maximum security even in the event of a power failure, while the manual key override system still allows authorized access. The RGB LED indicator clearly displays the lock status and access control activities—from normal operation and granted access to denied access.

Centralized Management with AKCPro Server

The remote access control system integrates seamlessly into the AKCPro Server platform and enables centralized management of up to 16 RFID cabinet lock units per sensorProbe+ device. Administrators can manage access permissions, perform audit trail monitoring, and generate detailed reports on all access events.

The solution supports up to 500 users per unit and offers advanced features such as calendar-based lock and unlock controls as well as notification-driven access management. These features make the Swing Handle Lock the ideal solution for data centers with complex security requirements.

Dual Authentication and Flexibility

The SHL-DA variant offers dual authentication by combining a PIN code and RFID card, or PIN-based authentication only. This flexibility is particularly valuable for remote locations where distributing RFID cards is impractical. Temporary access PINs can be assigned for one-time access without compromising security.

The system also supports third-party card readers such as MiFare and HID with encrypted RFID cards via Wiegand outputs (26, 30, or 32 bit), making integration into existing security systems easier.

Comprehensive Monitoring and Compliance

The RFID Swing Handle Cabinet Lock automatically creates a complete audit trail of all access events. Administrators receive detailed information about who opened which cabinet, when, how long access lasted, and whether cabinets were accidentally left unlocked.

Additional security sensors can monitor side panels and rear doors, ensuring 360-degree security coverage. The system supports up to 4 security sensors per swing handle, enabling comprehensive monitoring even with complex cabinet configurations.

Technical Specifications and Reliability

The robust construction operates reliably in a temperature range of -25°C to 75°C at 10%–90% humidity. With a typical power consumption of only 0.35 mWatt (70 mA) and peak values of 1.75 mWatt (350 mA), the system is extremely energy efficient.

The maximum cable length of 15 meters with approved low-capacitance shielded cable or UTP enables flexible installations even in large data centers. The compact dimensions of 210.6 x 37.0 x 43.8 mm ensure compatibility with most standard cabinet constructions.

Integration into Rack+ Intelligent Cabinet Solution

As part of the comprehensive Rack+ Intelligent Cabinet Solution, the RFID Cabinet Lock can be seamlessly combined with in-line power meters, cabinet thermal maps, sensor status lights, and LCD displays. This integration enables holistic monitoring and management of the entire cabinet infrastructure from a central platform.

The sensorProbe+ compatible technology automatically detects connected RFID Swing Handle Lock sensors and updates the firmware automatically when necessary. This ensures a future-proof investment with continuous feature enhancements and security updates.

Cost-Effective Security Solution

By enabling up to 16 units to be operated on a single SPX+ device, controller costs are distributed across multiple cabinets, resulting in a cost-effective solution for extensive installations. Easy installation via standardized RJ-45 connectors minimizes installation effort and significantly reduces overall operating costs.
