The AKCP monitoring system supports a variety of intelligent sensors for temperature and humidity monitoring:

Temperature Monitoring

Temperature monitoring is carried out using highly precise AKCP sensors that continuously measure the ambient temperature in server rooms and data centers. Special thermocouple sensors even allow monitoring of extreme temperature ranges in cooling systems or industrial environments.

Humidity Monitoring

Waterproof temperature and humidity sensors, also available in combined versions, ensure reliable monitoring of air humidity. These sensors are especially important for maintaining optimal operating conditions for IT equipment.

Specialized Sensors

The system also supports airflow sensors for measuring air supply, smoke sensors for early fire detection, as well as sensors for monitoring DC and AC current. Water sensors and water detection chains with localization function protect against costly water damage.

60 Dry-Contact Inputs for Maximum Connectivity

The 60 potential-free contacts of the SPX8-X60 allow integration of numerous third-party building technology systems. These can be operated in various configurations:

  • Configurable input/output contacts (0VDC/5VDC)
  • Input-only 5V dry contacts with optocoupler input
  • Isolated inputs for voltage signals from 5V to 30V
  • AC detection inputs for alternating voltages of 5-30V

This versatility enables the connection of fault indicators, relay outputs from air conditioning units, UPS systems, emergency generators, or fire alarm systems to the SNMP-based monitoring system.

Professional Rack Integration

The 2U design offers the advantage that both units (master SPX+ and BEB expansion) can be mounted either in separate height units or back-to-back in the same unit.

SNMP Integration and Network Monitoring

The SNMP-compatible system supports SNMP V1/2/3 and allows seamless integration into existing network management systems such as:

  • openITCOCKPIT
  • PRTG
  • WhatsUp Gold

The required MIB files and Nagios plugins are included. Via SNMP Get, all connected sensors can be queried directly over LAN/WAN.

GSM Modem for Reliable Alerting

The optional GSM modem enables SMS alerting even during network outages. If GSM reception quality is insufficient, a weatherproof GSM antenna with a 30-meter connection cable is available.

RFID Access Control

RFID-enabled rotary lever locks prevent uncontrolled access to sensitive server cabinets. In combination with magnetic contacts on side walls and rear panels, physical security is further enhanced.
