Didactum Monitoring System 100T – IT Monitoring and Alarm for Server Rooms

This bundle includes the Monitoring System 100 in the current version (Didactum Monitoring System 100T), an SNMP-enabled monitoring system for IT infrastructure. Included are a temperature sensor (Didactum temperature sensor), a humidity sensor (rH) (Didactum humidity sensor), a door contact sensor for monitoring the rack door, a siren with built-in strobe light for audiovisual alarm signaling, and a rack mount kit for rack mounting in a 19-inch wall, network, or IT rack. Optionally, you can choose between a system with or without LTE modem and a Modbus/RTU expansion module or the OSDPv2 expansion.

Didactum devices are manufactured in the EU. Technical support is located in Germany.

The Didactum Monitoring System 100T

The Didactum 100T is compatible with a variety of sensors, including environmental sensors for humidity, temperature, and power failures, as well as network sensors such as Ping, TCP, UDP, and SNMP. It also features advanced alarm processing, allowing multiple alarms to be triggered simultaneously and sent to a variety of recipients, including email, SMS, and SNMP traps.

The Didactum 100T is robust and reliable, with a sturdy housing and an internal power supply for use in harsh environments. It is easy to install and features a user-friendly web interface that allows users to conveniently configure their monitoring settings and alarms from any browser.

Overall, the Didactum 100T is a powerful monitoring solution that enables IT teams to effectively monitor critical IT environments and ensure that alarms are triggered when needed. It is the ideal solution for companies that require a robust monitoring solution to protect their IT systems and ensure business continuity.

Didactum Temperature Sensor – Temperature Monitoring of Sensitive Infrastructures

Measure and monitor the important environmental factor temperature in your sensitive infrastructures with the Didactum temperature sensor. This ensures that a temperature increase or even overheating in your important rooms and facilities does not go unnoticed. Temperature monitoring is a central component of IT infrastructure.

Permanent temperature recording is useful for compliance purposes. Also suitable as evidence for room monitoring as part of audits.

Typical applications of the Didactum temperature sensor:

  • Temperature monitoring of technical and server room infrastructures
  • Long-term measurement of room temperature in warehouses, depots, and archives
  • Temperature monitoring of network, technical, and server cabinets
  • Temperature monitoring of cold stores and industrial buildings

This sensor was specially developed for precise temperature monitoring. The temperature sensor is simply connected to the Didactum Monitoring System via RJ11 cable and is automatically displayed in the web frontend. As part of temperature monitoring, you can query the connected sensor via network or Internet.

The sensor can be installed up to 100 meters away from the Didactum monitoring and alarm systems using an RJ-11 cable.

Didactum Humidity Sensor – Monitoring Relative Humidity

The environmental factor relative humidity (RH) plays a significant role in many business-critical rooms and facilities. Too low humidity in the room air can promote static charging.

In server rooms and data centers, too low humidity can damage sensitive components. Excessive humidity in the room air can cause the formation of condensate / condensation water.

These often microscopically small water particles can settle on circuit boards and, in the worst case, cause a short circuit. Therefore, it makes sense to permanently measure relative humidity in sensitive rooms and facilities and to be informed in good time in the event of critical humidity. Installing humidity sensors also enables control of the installed ventilation and air conditioning technology. This ensures that your HVAC technology works perfectly.

Typical application examples for the Didactum humidity sensor:

  • Measurement of humidity in technical and server room infrastructures
  • Measurement of humidity in production environments
  • Long-term measurement of relative humidity in warehouses, depots, and archives
  • Monitoring of climate and ventilation systems
  • Automation technology, building services engineering
  • Prevention of mold formation (black mold, etc.)

Convenient Installation of the Didactum Humidity Sensor

The installation of the Didactum relative humidity sensor is simple. You just need to connect the humidity sensor via a 4-wire patch cable to the IP-based Didactum Monitoring and Alarm System. If desired, you can install the sensor up to 50 meters away from the monitoring system. The autosense function automatically detects this sensor and displays it in the easy-to-use web interface.

The humidity sensor is supplied including mounting material (screws / mounting tape).

Rackmount Kit

With the 19-inch rack mount kit, you can install the SNMPv1/v2c/v3 compatible Didactum Monitoring System 100 in control, wall, network, and server cabinets.

Didactum Door Contact Sensor

The Didactum door contact sensor is essential for access control and is used to monitor the status of doors and windows (open or closed). It consists of two parts: a magnet and a sensor, which together ensure precise detection of the opening or closing status of accesses.

The sensor can be connected to any analog port (A1...A8) of the Didactum monitoring unit and supports daisy-chaining, so that several sensors can be easily and scalably installed in series.

Didactum Alarm Siren with Strobe Light

This siren is characterized by its high volume of 108 dB and a striking flash frequency of 2.5 Hz, which ensures immediate attention when an alarm is triggered. The compact size and light weight allow for easy installation on walls. Thanks to the included screws and clamps, installation is straightforward and quick.
