Didactum Monitoring System 100T

The Didactum Monitoring System 100 represents a new generation of state-of-the-art monitoring technology. Developed and manufactured within the European Union, this IP-based device combines innovative network technology with German engineering. Research, development, and technical support take place in Germany, ensuring short response times and the highest manufacturing quality. The device was designed for demanding environments where permanent monitoring is essential – such as data centers, production facilities, technical systems, or server rooms.

The Monitoring System 100 operates completely independently and requires no additional software installation. All functions can be conveniently controlled via the integrated web server, which supports common network protocols such as HTTP, HTTPS, SSL, CAN, DHCP, SMTP, FTP, Radius, and Syslog. The robust hardened Linux operating system, as well as features such as NTP service, timer, trigger, and watchdog mechanisms, ensure stable and reliable continuous operation.

Through the multilingual web interface, all sensors, alarm rules, and logic modules can be intuitively configured. Internal data logging stores all measurement values, visualizes them graphically, and provides them on request for further analysis or reporting. This allows the system to meet traceability and documentation requirements as demanded by ISO 27001 or BSI standards.

Didactum Temperature Sensor

The Didactum temperature sensor was specially developed for precise monitoring of room temperature in sensitive areas. It measures temperatures between -10 °C and +80 °C with an accuracy of ±0.5 °C.

As a wired sensor with an RJ11 connector, it is fully compatible with all Didactum monitoring systems and enables seamless temperature monitoring in critical environments such as server rooms, data centers, or industrial facilities.

Installation is particularly simple thanks to the RJ11 plug: the sensor is automatically recognized by the monitoring system and displayed in the user-friendly web interface, where individual settings such as thresholds and alarm parameters can be configured. Temperature monitoring is accessible both via the network and directly through the web.

Furthermore, the sensor can easily be integrated into various monitoring solutions and network management tools such as Nagios, PRTG, or Zabbix. With a cable length of up to 100 meters, it offers high flexibility, and multiple sensors can be combined to comprehensively monitor large or complex facilities. This makes the Didactum temperature sensor a reliable and versatile tool for professional temperature monitoring and safety concepts in critical infrastructures.

Didactum Humidity Sensor

The Didactum humidity sensor is ideally suited for precise measurement of relative humidity in various environments such as data centers, server rooms, warehouses, or archives.

Accurate measurement of relative humidity is crucial in many applications. In industrial processes, laboratories, clean rooms, storage areas, or building technology systems, humidity monitoring plays a key role in quality assurance, process stability, and energy efficiency.

Insufficient or excessive humidity can disrupt processes, cause machine failures, or affect the quality of sensitive products such as paper, textiles, food, or pharmaceuticals. Therefore, continuous humidity measurement and control are legally required and strictly monitored in many industries.

The sensor offers a measurement accuracy of ±3% relative humidity (RH) and is designed for demanding environments.

Installation is highly flexible – on the wall, ceiling, table, or even in IT racks – making integration into existing systems easy. With an optional extension, the measuring device can be installed up to 50 meters away from the main unit, significantly expanding its application range.

This combination of precision, robustness, and flexibility makes the Didactum humidity sensor a reliable solution for long-term humidity monitoring in critical and complex environments.

Door Contact Sensor

The Didactum door contact sensor is an essential tool for access control, reliably monitoring the status of doors and windows – whether they are open or closed. The device consists of two components: a magnet and a sensor, which together enable precise detection of the open or closed state.

The sensor is connected to any analog port (A1 to A8) of the Didactum monitoring unit. Thanks to series connection support, several sensors can easily be connected in series for flexible scalability.

For larger installations, the number of sensors and maximum cable length can be expanded using the Didactum sensor port extension, enabling comprehensive access control across multiple entry points.

Especially for securing sensitive areas such as server rooms, this door contact sensor provides a reliable solution for continuous monitoring of all access points. Automatic detection of the sensor in the web interface also allows simplified configuration and real-time monitoring.

Microwave Motion Detector

The Didactum microwave motion detector is an advanced sensor specially developed for professional monitoring and building automation solutions.

Its modern microwave radar technology enables reliable detection of motion and presence, even through non-metallic obstacles such as glass, wood, or plastic. It is therefore ideal for demanding applications such as server rooms, technical rooms, offices, warehouses, and other security-critical areas.

The sensor operates with high energy efficiency and features high sensitivity, detecting even the smallest movements.

Installation is easily done via plug-and-play on a free analog port (A1...A8) of the Didactum monitoring unit, after which it is automatically recognized. Through the clear web interface, users can configure the motion detector individually and integrate it into logical schemes to trigger targeted alarms or automatisms upon motion detection.

For larger and more complex areas, the motion detector can be flexibly expanded using the Didactum sensor expansion unit, allowing more sensors to be connected and longer cable distances to be achieved.

Didactum Siren

Monitoring server rooms is one of the most sensitive tasks for a company since they house central IT systems, network technology, and business-critical data. A disturbance or failure, for example due to fire, water damage, temperature rise, burglary, or power outage, can have severe consequences.

Integrating the Didactum alarm siren into the server room’s alarm system ensures immediate acoustic and visual warning in such events. This ensures IT managers, security staff, or facility managers can react quickly and take necessary countermeasures.

The Didactum alarm siren is connected directly to the monitoring system and can be controlled via a 12V DC, 0.25A electronic relay output of the Didactum monitoring systems. In the event of an alarm triggered by a water sensor, smoke detector, temperature sensor, or access control system, the siren emits a loud acoustic alarm and a flashing light signal.

The combination of sound and strobe ensures reliable warning even in noisy or large areas. This makes the alarm siren a key element in protecting critical IT infrastructure, helping to prevent failures and damages at an early stage.

USB Camera

The Didactum USB dome camera is a powerful solution for video surveillance of particularly sensitive areas such as server rooms, data centers, and other critical corporate zones.

It delivers high-resolution 720P HD live images and features integrated infrared technology, enabling night recordings with a range of up to 20 meters. This ensures seamless surveillance even in complete darkness.

The camera connects directly to Didactum monitoring systems via USB. Thanks to plug-and-play, it is automatically detected without driver installation, and power is supplied by the monitoring system. The dome design protects the lens and allows discreet yet comprehensive surveillance.

Through the user-friendly web interface, the camera can be configured, with settings such as frame rate, storage locations (SD card, USB stick, FTP server, e-mail), and automatic alarm integration easily adjustable.

In addition to server room surveillance, the camera also assists with securing archives, storage areas, technical rooms, and production floors. It actively helps detect and prevent unauthorized access, theft, sabotage, or vandalism.

Combined with other sensors such as door contacts, motion detectors, or smoke detectors, it enables an intelligent monitoring strategy: videos can be automatically recorded in case of alarm, with image-based notifications sent via e-mail or SMS. IT managers can thus receive real-time images directly to their mobile devices or central management dashboard – ideal for efficient and interactive security monitoring.
