The COMET P8511 is a compact Ethernet WebSensor (P-Line) with one channel for external temperature and humidity probes – the ideal solution for precise, network-based climate monitoring in server rooms, technical rooms, warehouses, cleanrooms, greenhouses, or production facilities. The sensor is perfect for applications where only one measurement point is required but high reliability and easy integration are essential.

The external probe (DSxx series, sold separately) measures temperature up to +105 °C and humidity from 0 to 100 % RH with high accuracy. In addition to primary values, the P8511 automatically calculates all essential humidity parameters: dew point, absolute humidity, specific humidity, mixing ratio, and specific enthalpy – all directly available through the integrated web interface or via Modbus TCP.

The large dual-line LCD displays current values and can be disabled for continuous operation. Via Ethernet (RJ45), the sensor integrates seamlessly into networks – with direct connection to COMET Cloud (3 months free, thereafter 1 credit per year) for charts, exports, alarms, and remote access via app or browser. Alternatively, Modbus TCP, SNMP, JSON, or XML can be used for your own SCADA/BMS/IoT system.
