The versatile Android door intercom with facial recognition
The Akuvox AV-S539 is a modular video door intercom with facial recognition, a terrace-style housing design and a multifunctional camera module. It combines doorbell and door opener in one device and offers more than 15 different access control methods – from facial recognition via card, PIN and QR code through to smartphone. A 10-inch IPS touchscreen display makes operation simple and intuitive.
On the camera side, the S539 works with a 5-megapixel main camera with Starlight sensor as well as two additional cameras with 2 and 1 megapixel respectively. A white light LED supports facial recognition even in poor lighting conditions. The housing is protected to IP66 against dust and strong water jets as well as IK08 against mechanical impact and is therefore suitable for continuous outdoor use.
Connection is via Ethernet with Power-over-Ethernet (802.3at) or optionally via an external 12 V / 24 V power supply. The S539 is designed as an open SIP and ONVIF device and can be mounted either flush or surface-mounted.

How the AV-S539 is built
The housing of the AV-S539 has a terrace-style design: the individual assemblies are visibly set apart from one another rather than disappearing into a single smooth surface.
Aluminium front panel
The front is made of an aluminium alloy in Space Grey and provides a robust, high-end appearance for continuous outdoor use.
Multifunctional camera module
In the upper area is the 5-megapixel main camera with Starlight sensor and a field of view of 120° horizontal and 64° vertical, complemented by two additional cameras (2 MP and 1 MP) as well as a white light LED, a light sensor and a motion sensor.
10-inch touchscreen
Central operating element for visitors: display, selection of residential units, video call as well as entry of PIN or QR code.
Card reader
Integrated RF reader for 13.56 MHz and 125 kHz cards, positioned below the display.
Microphone and speaker
Two microphones and two speakers handle the voice connection with dual audio and anti-echo technology.
Rear connections
On the rear are the Ethernet connection with PoE+, three relay outputs, three inputs as well as interfaces for Wiegand and RS485 for connecting external access components.
Mounting type and tamper protection
The housing can be mounted either flush or surface-mounted and is equipped with a tamper alarm against forced removal.

For voice transmission, the AV-S539 uses the audio codecs G.711a, G.711µ and G.722, supplemented by echo cancellation, voice activity detection and a comfort noise generator. On the network side, the device supports among others IPv4, HTTP(S), FTP, DNS, NTP, RTSP, RTP, TCP, UDP, ICMP, DHCP and ARP. The camera delivers video streams in H.264 with resolutions from CIF to 1080p at up to 30 frames per second.
