AKCP AC Voltage Sensor – IP Monitoring of Power Supply in Critical Infrastructure
The AKCP AC Voltage Sensor was specifically developed for network-based remote monitoring of power supply in critical infrastructures. This intelligent sensor solution allows companies to continuously monitor their IT infrastructure, server rooms, data centers, and other mission-critical facilities around the clock and receive immediate notifications in the event of a power failure.
Innovative Monitoring Technology for Maximum Operational Reliability
In combination with the proven sensorProbe and securityProbe alarm servers, you can continuously monitor the presence of mains voltage in the range of 50 to 250 Volts AC. The voltage sensor offers a reliable solution for preventive maintenance and professional monitoring of power supply systems. In the event of a power failure, you will immediately receive an alert via email, SMS, or SNMP trap to your network management system.
Easy Installation Without an Electrician
The installation of the AC Voltage Sensor is extremely simple and requires no special electrical knowledge. The included cold appliance cable is simply plugged into a free power outlet. The intelligent sensor, equipped with an RJ45 connector, is connected to a free sensor port on the sensorProbe or securityProbe alarm server using the included Cat5 cable.
The innovative Auto Sense function allows the AC voltage sensor to be automatically recognized by the AKCP alarm server and displayed in the intuitive web interface. This plug-and-play functionality significantly reduces installation effort and enables rapid deployment of the monitoring system.
Intelligent Monitoring Functions and Alarm Management
The voltage monitor has a built-in LED indicator that visually signals the presence of AC voltage. This status LED enables quick on-site verification even without accessing the alarm server’s web interface. The system's disconnect feature alerts you immediately if the connection between the alarm server and the AC voltage sensor is interrupted—whether due to cable break, sabotage, or other tampering.
Within the user-friendly web interface of the AKCP alarm server, you can define exactly how you want to be notified in the event of a power outage. Available options include email alerts, SMS notifications, or SNMP traps for integration into professional network monitoring systems such as OpenNMS, Nagios, HP OpenView, WhatsUp Gold, and many other network management solutions.
Flexible Deployment Options and Range
The AC voltage sensor is particularly suitable for remote monitoring of power supply in unmanned infrastructures, remote branches, or critical facilities. Thanks to flexible cabling, the sensor can be installed up to 300 meters (1,000 feet) away from the alarm server using standard CAT5 or CAT6 LAN cables.
This range allows for monitoring spatially separated power supply systems without the need for additional infrastructure. The sensor is powered entirely via the Cat5 cable from the controller unit and requires no separate power supply.
