Power Management with the securityProbe Alarm Server
Power management is conveniently performed via the web frontend of the securityProbe-5E/-5ES/-5ESV Alarm Server. Here, you can easily configure and monitor the AKCP Power Monitoring Sensor. The manufacturer AKCess Pro provides a specially developed “Power Management” menu tailored to the requirements of professional network monitoring.
The scalability of the system is impressive: a single securityProbe-5E/-5ES/-5ESV can measure and monitor up to 6 three-phase Power Monitoring Sensors simultaneously. When using the single-phase version of the AKCP Power Monitoring Sensor, even up to 14 of these highly precise power meters can be connected to a single securityProbe Alarm Server. This flexibility allows comprehensive monitoring of even complex power distribution systems.

Monitoring of Key Electrical Parameters
The data measured by the 1- or 3-phase Power Monitor Sensor can be evaluated and visualized directly in the web interface of the securityProbe Alarm Server. Through the intelligent combination of the securityProbe with the Power Monitoring Sensor, you receive a TCP/IP-based, professional solution for precise energy measurement and continuous monitoring of the following critical power parameters:
- Phase Voltage: Continuous monitoring of voltage values for all phases with high accuracy (±0.5% according to IEC 62053-21)
- Current: Precise current measurement in the range of 0.4% Ib to Imax with an accuracy of ±0.5%
- Power Factor: Monitoring of the power factor to optimize energy efficiency
- Active Energy: Measurement of the actual energy consumed for detailed consumption analysis
- Total Active Power: Recording of total active power for comprehensive load analysis
The technical specifications of the sensor meet the highest industry standards. The Power Monitor Sensor operates with a rated voltage of 230V AC (single-phase) or 230/400V AC (three-phase) and supports an operational voltage range of 0.7-1.3Un. The frequency tolerance is ±10% at 50-60Hz, ensuring reliable operation in various power grids.
Comprehensive Notifications and Alarm Functions
The securityProbe High-End Alarm Servers, distributed by Didactum Security GmbH, offer an exceptionally wide range of notification and alarm options. Each securityProbe-5E/-5ES/-5ESV can alert the control center or technical team by email, SMS, MMS, FAX, or automatic phone call in the event of power disturbances, voltage drops, or other critical incidents.
Network monitoring is enhanced by SNMP Traps to system and network monitoring software such as Nagios, PRTG, or SolarWinds. Via a sensor with a potential-free contact or by automatically switching sensor-controlled relays (DC/AC), immediate action can be taken in response to power supply disruptions. This proactive approach minimizes downtime and protects critical IT systems from costly damage.
Robust DIN Rail Mounting and Easy Installation
The Power Monitoring Sensors from AKCess Pro are made of robust, industrial-grade plastic and are specifically designed for mounting on DIN rails. This enables space-saving and professional installation in control cabinets and distribution panels. The compact dimensions (100mm x 76mm x 65.5mm for the single-phase version) allow for trouble-free integration even in tight spaces.
The connection of the AKCP / AKCess Pro Power Monitoring Sensors is made via the proven RS485 Modbus interface of the securityProbe-5E/-5ES/-5ESV Alarm Servers. This standardized interface ensures interference-free data transmission even over longer distances and enables integration into existing automation systems.
An integrated LCD display allows direct on-site reading of important voltage values in the technical and server rooms without requiring a connection to the monitoring system. This is particularly invaluable during maintenance work or fault diagnosis.
Versatile Model Variants for Every Application
The Power Monitoring Sensors are available in three different model versions from the official AKCP importer, Didactum Security GmbH, to optimally cover various requirements:
- Single-phase version: Ideal for smaller consumers and individual circuits, with a base current of 10A and a maximum current of 100A
- Three-phase version: Perfect for three-phase systems and larger loads, also with a base current of 10A and a maximum current of 100A per phase
- Three-phase CT model (Current Transformer): Specifically developed for higher currents, with a reduced base current of 1.5A and a maximum current of 6A, ideal for use with external current transformers
The low internal power loss of up to 2W/10VA per phase and the extended operating temperature range of -10°C to +50°C make these sensors suitable even for demanding environmental conditions. Relative humidity can be up to 75% without affecting measurement accuracy.
