The Didactum Humidity Sensor is an analog plug-and-play sensor for precise measurement of relative indoor humidity (10–95 % RH) with an accuracy of 3 % RH. It is connected via RJ11 cable to any analog port (A1…A8) of a Didactum monitoring system and automatically detected thanks to AutoSense – separate configuration of the connection type is not necessary.
The sensor cannot be operated independently, but is always used together with a Didactum monitoring system, which records and visualizes the measured values and automatically triggers alarms if required.

Adhesive mounting
The sensor is attached directly to the desired surface using the included adhesive sticker.
Screw mounting
Alternatively, the sensor can be mounted on walls using the included screw.
Mounting bracket
For flexible positioning, the sensor can be attached to a mounting bracket, either glued or screwed.
The sensor is suitable for indoor mounting as desktop or wall mounting.
More sensors via the sensor expansion unit
If the analog ports of the monitoring system are no longer sufficient, the number of sensors can be easily increased.
Each sensor expansion unit connected to the Didactum monitoring system via the CAN bus adds 8 additional analog sensor ports. Sensors connected to it are automatically detected and displayed in the system – without any manual configuration.

How is the humidity sensor connected?
The sensor is connected via RJ11 cable to any analog port (A1…A8) of a Didactum monitoring system. Thanks to AutoSense, it is automatically detected; manual configuration of the connection type is not necessary.
How accurately does the sensor measure?
The sensor achieves an accuracy of 3 % RH and covers a measuring range of 10 % to 95 % relative humidity indoors.
How far away from the monitoring system can the sensor be mounted?
The maximum distance to the monitoring system or to a sensor expansion unit is 50 m.
Can the sensor be operated independently, without a monitoring system?
No. The humidity sensor does not provide its own display or evaluation and must always be used together with a Didactum monitoring system, which records and processes the measured values.
Can multiple humidity sensors be used simultaneously?
Yes. Each analog port of the monitoring system can accommodate one humidity sensor. If the existing ports are not sufficient, the number can be increased by 8 additional analog ports via a sensor expansion unit. Daisy-chaining multiple humidity sensors together is not possible; each sensor requires its own analog port.
How is the sensor mounted?
