The Didactum Monitoring System 50T is a compact, powerful, and cost-effective monitoring solution for server rooms, IT racks, and technical facilities. As a self-contained unit, it continuously records critical environmental parameters – from temperature and humidity to smoke and water intrusion, power outages, vibration, and unauthorized access – and reports anomalies in real time, long before they turn into costly downtime or data loss.

The 50T is deliberately designed as the entry-level model in the Didactum Monitoring family: it packs everything a single server room, small data center, or network cabinet needs for monitoring into a compact footprint – with no separate server, licensing costs, or additional software required. Configuration is done entirely through the web browser, sensors are automatically detected via AutoSense, and the device integrates seamlessly into existing monitoring landscapes such as Zabbix, PRTG, or Nagios via SNMP, Syslog, or a REST API.

As your environment grows, the 50T grows with it: additional sensors can be added via CAN expansion units and daisy-chaining, turning the compact entry-level solution into a significantly larger monitoring network whenever needed – without having to replace the base unit.

The 50T responds instantly to critical readings. When thresholds are exceeded, the system automatically sends email notifications, SMS, SNMP traps, or activates a siren. Integration with monitoring software such as Zabbix, PRTG, or Nagios is straightforward thanks to standard network protocols (HTTP, HTTPS, SMTP, FTP, SNMP, Syslog, DHCP).

Scalable, Reliable, and Future-Proof

The system supports up to 700 elements and can be easily expanded. The daisy-chaining function simplifies cabling: with sensor expansion units, more than 256 sensors can be operated over a total cable length of up to 225 m. Regular firmware updates ensure long-term usability. Made in the EU – German support included.

Connecting CAN Sensors

Multiple CAN devices can be linked together in a chain via the CAN bus. Each 8-port sensor expansion adds 8 additional analog sensors to the system. Each dry-contact expansion unit adds 32 or 64 additional dry-contact inputs. An additional CAN power supply (12V/1A) is only required if the number of CAN devices in the chain exceeds 12.

Setup is quick and easy – no additional software required.

1. Connect the device to your network via Ethernet cable
2. Connect the included 12V DC power supply – the system starts automatically
3. Open the default IP address in your browser (192.168.0.193, alternatively .101 or .62)
4. Complete the setup wizard for network settings, admin password, and time zone
5. Connect sensors to the analog ports – they are detected automatically (AutoSense)
6. Optional: configure alarm rules and advanced settings
