Sensor Monitoring with Local LCD Display
The AKCP sensorProbe2+ LCD (SP2+LCD) is based on the proven sensorProbe2+ and adds an integrated LCD display: it shows up to 8 sensor values, critical status messages and the network connection status locally directly on the device – in addition to remote monitoring over the internet via SNMP, Modbus TCP/IP, optional Modbus RS485 and MQTT. The device has a total of 4 intelligent sensor ports and one Dry Contact I/O and is ideally suited for server rooms and the monitoring of individual racks. In the Basic version, 2 of the 4 sensor ports are active; the Pro version unlocks all 4 ports. Power supply for all variants available from Didactum is exclusively via Power-over-Ethernet (PoE).
Any intelligent AKCP sensor can be connected to the SP2+LCD – for example thermal map sensors, sensor status lights, contactless current meters or water leakage sensors. With combined sensors such as thermal maps or contactless current meters, up to 9 individual sensors per port can be mapped according to the manufacturer.
Mounting is either at the front of the rack or with a 45° angled bracket on top of the rack, so that the display can be positioned for good readability. The SP2+LCD Basic can be upgraded to the Pro version at any time via a one-time software license.
Four Sensor Ports plus Dry Contact I/O
The SP2+LCD reliably records the most important environmental and status values of a rack in real time and additionally displays them directly on the device.

Virtual sensors package (extension)
AKCP sensorProbe1+: Package with 5 Virtual Sensors – Smart Integration of External Devices Extend the monitoring capabilities of your AKCP sensorProbe1+ base unit far beyond the physical sensor connections! With the "Package with 5 virtual sensors" (and the ability to activate up to 80 virtual sensors), you transform your sensorProbe1+ into an intelligent bridge that integrates data from a wide range of external devices into your central monitoring system. This package is the ideal solution for more comprehensive monitoring of your infrastructure without the need to deploy additional hardware. What are virtual sensors and how do they expand your sensorProbe1+? Virtual sensors are not physical sensors, but logical data points that enable your sensorProbe1+ to collect information from devices connected via network protocols. With this package of 5 licenses, you can take your first steps into advanced monitoring and, if needed, expand to up to 80 virtual sensors. This is particularly suitable for integrating external devices via: SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol): Monitor the status, bandwidth usage, or error messages of network components such as servers, routers, switches, or UPSs. Modbus: Integrate data from industrial control systems, air conditioning units, smart meters, or other Modbus-enabled devices typically found in data centers and industrial plants. Ping: Check the availability of critical network devices and receive immediate notification if a device goes offline. The sensorProbe1+, known for its reliability and ease of use, becomes an even more powerful tool thanks to these virtual sensors. You can not only monitor environmental conditions but also keep an eye on the status of your entire IT and industrial infrastructure from a central point. Data collected by the virtual sensors is treated just like data from physical sensors: it can trigger alarms, be visualized in charts, and used for reports. Your benefits at a glance: Comprehensive monitoring: Extend your sensorProbe1+ beyond physical sensors to network and industrial devices. Cost efficiency: Avoid purchasing multiple specialized monitoring solutions. Centralized data collection: All relevant information is consolidated on your sensorProbe1+. Easy integration: Use established protocols such as SNMP, Modbus, and Ping. Scalability: Start with 5 virtual sensors and expand to up to 80 as needed. Make your sensorProbe1+ the heart of your intelligent infrastructure monitoring. The package with 5 virtual sensors is your entry point into expanded and more efficient monitoring!
Extension 5DCS
AKCP sensorProbe1+: License for 5 Dry Contacts (5DCS) – Extended Status Monitoring for Your Infrastructure Expand the functionality of your AKCP sensorProbe1+ base unit and integrate a wide range of binary status signals into your central monitoring. The "License for 5 Dry Contacts (5DCS)" unlocks five additional inputs for dry contact sensors on your sensorProbe1+, allowing you to reliably monitor critical states such as door openings, smoke alarms, or the status of UPS systems. This package is ideal for supplementing your monitoring strategy with simple but crucial on/off signals. What are dry contacts and how do you benefit from them? Dry contacts are simple electrical contacts that report a binary state—open or closed. They do not emit voltage themselves but react to an external change (e.g., a door closing, a relay being triggered) and signal this state to the sensorProbe1+. Typical applications for dry contacts include: Security monitoring: Door contacts, window contacts, motion detectors, alarm status of intrusion detection systems. Environmental monitoring: Leak sensors (water, liquids), smoke detectors, fire suppression systems. Device status: UPS status (battery operation, mains failure), status of circuit breakers, fan failures, emergency stop switches. With the "License for 5 Dry Contacts (5DCS)", you can connect five such external devices or sensors to your sensorProbe1+. The base unit immediately detects changes in the state of these contacts and can trigger correspondingly configured alarms—whether via email, SMS, or SNMP trap. This transforms your sensorProbe1+ into an even more versatile guardian for physical security and operational status. Why choose this license for your sensorProbe1+? The sensorProbe1+ is a cost-effective and compact solution for basic monitoring. By adding the dry contacts license, you significantly expand its range of applications. You can easily integrate existing switches or alarm systems and obtain a central platform that collects both environmental data and important status messages. This is particularly advantageous for small server rooms, remote technical locations, or sensitive areas where both environmental and security aspects need to be monitored. Your benefits at a glance: Versatile status monitoring: Capture a wide range of on/off states. Increased security: Monitor doors, windows, and access points. Enhanced environmental control: Integrate smoke and leak detectors. Easy integration: Use standardized dry contact interfaces. Reliable alerting: Immediate notification of state changes. Make your sensorProbe1+ an even more powerful and comprehensive monitoring tool—with the license for 5 dry contacts!
