This Didactum bundle combines the Monitoring System 100T with a CAN temperature and humidity sensor to form a monitoring solution that is ready to use right away. Instead of putting together a central unit and sensors separately, this bundle gives you everything needed to start professional environmental monitoring in server rooms, technical rooms, or small data centers – matched to each other and ready to go from the start.
The Monitoring System 100T serves as the central control and alerting unit: it is connected to the network via Ethernet, is fully configurable through a web browser, and requires no additional software. The included CAN temperature and humidity sensor is connected directly to the CAN bus port, is detected automatically, and delivers precise climate data from the monitored room from the very first moment.
As your needs grow, so does this bundle: additional sensors and expansion units can be added to the CAN bus at any time in a daisy chain, allowing the compact starter configuration to grow into a significantly more extensive monitoring network whenever needed – with no need to replace the central unit.

Monitoring System 100T
The Monitoring System 100T is the central control unit of the bundle and the latest generation of Didactum's high-end monitoring systems, developed and manufactured in the European Union. It operates completely independently via an integrated web server, requires no additional software installation, and thanks to its hardened Linux operating system and built-in watchdog, is designed for continuous 24/7 operation in critical environments such as server rooms, production facilities, or data centers. Up to 36 sensors can be connected and automatically detected via four analog ports and a CAN bus port, while integration into SNMP-, Modbus TCP/IP-, or Syslog-based monitoring landscapes such as Zabbix, PRTG, or Nagios is achieved without any additional effort. With 10/100/1000 Mbit/s Ethernet, an optional LTE modem, and an optional OSDPv2 or Modbus/RTU expansion module, the 100T can also be tailored precisely to the relevant infrastructure.
Combined temperature and humidity sensor (CAN)
The CAN temperature and humidity sensor included in the bundle is a high-quality combined sensor with an attractive price-performance ratio, which connects directly to the CAN bus port of the Monitoring System 100T and is automatically detected there. Temperature and relative humidity are displayed as two separate elements in the web interface, so that individual threshold values, notifications, and alarm rules can be defined for each value. A key feature is the automatic calculation of the dew point from the measured temperature and humidity values, which helps prevent condensation damage in server rooms and technical rooms in particular. Since the sensor is CAN bus capable, it can be combined with up to 32 additional CAN devices in a daisy chain if needed, allowing the bundle to be expanded later with additional sensors as required.
Comprehensive sensor integration for the bundle
The Monitoring System 100T supports up to 100 sensors, contacts, and relays simultaneously – with up to 36 sensors supported directly out of the box via the analog ports and the CAN bus. The CAN temperature and humidity sensor included in the bundle already occupies one measuring point on the CAN bus and delivers precise temperature and humidity data (±0.4 °C and ±3% RH respectively) including automatic dew point calculation from the monitored room right from the start – all other sensor types listed below can be added at any time.

Real-time monitoring and automated alerting
The Monitoring System 100T reacts immediately to critical values from the included temperature and humidity sensor as well as all other connected sensors. When threshold values are exceeded, the system automatically sends email notifications, SNMP traps, or activates a siren. With an optionally installed LTE modem, SMS and web-to-SMS notifications are also possible. Integration with monitoring software such as Zabbix, PRTG, Nagios, or Check_MK is straightforward thanks to common network protocols (HTTP, HTTPS, SMTP, FTP, SNMP, Syslog, Modbus TCP/IP, DHCP).
Practical example: The sensor included in the bundle reports that the humidity threshold has been exceeded, for example due to a rising risk of condensation. The system automatically sends an email to the IT staff, permanently logs the event, and can optionally activate the air conditioning via a relay output – preventing condensation damage at an early stage.
Web-based control & intelligent automation
The multilingual web interface allows easy management of sensors, alarms, and scenarios – right from the moment the bundle is put into operation.

Scalable, reliable, and future-proof
The Monitoring System 100T included in the bundle is equipped with 10/100/1000 Mbit/s (Gigabit) Ethernet. The system supports up to 700 elements (sensors, triggers, logic schemes, notifications) and can be expanded as needed via the CAN bus port with additional sensors and expansion units in a daisy chain. Regular firmware updates ensure long-term usability. Made in the EU – with German support included.
Connecting CAN sensors
The Monitoring System 100T has a CAN bus port to which the temperature and humidity sensor included in the bundle is connected directly and detected automatically. Additional CAN devices can be linked together in a chain via this port – up to 24 CAN devices per chain are recommended, with a maximum of 32 devices per port. Each 8-port sensor expansion adds 8 additional analog sensors to the system, and each dry contact expansion unit adds 32 or 64 additional dry contact inputs. The total length of the CAN bus can be up to 230 m; an additional CAN power supply (12V/1A) is only needed if the number of CAN devices in the chain exceeds the recommended limit.

What is included in this bundle?
The bundle includes the Monitoring System 100T as the central monitoring and alerting unit, as well as a CAN temperature and humidity sensor including a connection cable. Both components are matched to each other and ready to use immediately after unpacking.
Do I need to configure the sensor separately?
No. The included CAN sensor is connected to the CAN bus port of the Monitoring System via an RJ11 cable and is detected automatically there. Temperature and humidity then appear as separate measuring points in the web interface, for which you can set individual threshold values.
What options are available, and do I need to select them separately?
Two option groups are available for the Monitoring System 100T included in the bundle: an expansion module (OSDPv2 reader or Modbus/RTU) and an optional LTE modem. These options are not automatically included in the base price and must be selected directly on the product page above the "Add to cart" button. Without an active selection, we will ship the device in its standard configuration with no expansion module and no modem.
Can I expand the bundle with additional sensors?
Yes. Up to 32 additional CAN devices can be connected via the CAN bus port of the Monitoring System 100T (24 recommended), such as additional temperature, smoke, water, or motion sensors. Analog sensors on the four built-in ports or via sensor expansion units can also be added at any time.
What does the automatic dew point calculation do?
The included CAN sensor automatically calculates the dew point from the measured temperature and humidity values. This makes it possible to detect condensation risks early and prevent damage to sensitive equipment in server rooms or technical rooms.
How are alarms and notifications sent?
The system offers various alerting methods: email notifications, SNMP traps, and Syslog messages. With an optionally installed LTE modem, SMS and web-to-SMS are also available. In addition, external sirens or strobe lights can be connected via the relay outputs.
Does the Monitoring System 100T use Gigabit Ethernet?
Yes. The Monitoring System 100T is equipped with 10/100/1000 Mbit/s (Gigabit) Ethernet, allowing it to be integrated into modern network infrastructures with high performance.
