Remote Monitoring and Alerting

The core strength of the STE2 LITE lies in its ability to record temperatures and other environmental data in real time and trigger immediate alerts if necessary. As soon as a preset threshold is exceeded, you automatically receive an email notification. This is particularly advantageous in server rooms or when monitoring air conditioning systems, as it allows early response to overheating or failures. Optionally, the system can be connected to an external SMS gateway or a cloud portal such as HWg-cloud.com or SensDesk Technology to also receive SMS or voice alarms. This way, you are always informed even on the go and can act immediately in an emergency.

Flexible Sensor Integration

Although the STE2 LITE has only one RJ11 port, up to four sensor values can be recorded simultaneously. This is made possible by the simple daisy-chain function, which allows several sensors to be connected together. For example, a single sensor can be used to measure both temperature and humidity.

The package already includes a 1-meter temperature sensor and an international 5V power supply.

The STE2 LITE offers various alerting options. In addition to email notifications, you can also set up SMS and voice alarms if an external SMS gateway or cloud portal is used. Alerts are sent directly from the device or via the portal, ensuring particularly high reliability. For long-term stable alerting, it is recommended to use the portal (e.g., HWg-cloud.com), as public SMTP servers like Gmail or Yahoo often change security requirements and alarms may fail.

With the HWg Monitor mobile app, you can conveniently monitor all sensor values on your smartphone or tablet. The app supports both direct connection with LAN devices and use via the portal. This gives you access to your readings anytime and anywhere.

Alerting and Display of Sensor Values
