The combined temperature and humidity sensor for the 19" rack
The HW group 1WR-HTemp Rack19 2p is a combined temperature (-10°C to +80°C) and humidity probe for IT environments on the 1-Wire bus. The sensor fits directly into a 19" or 10" enclosure (1U size) and can be mounted there either at the front or rear as a 1U device, or alternatively fixed to the wall.
Two RJ11 connectors enable daisy-chaining of additional sensors; a 3 m connection cable is already included in the scope of delivery. The sensor is designed for connection to Poseidon, Ares, STE2 and Perseus devices from HW group.
Temperature and humidity on a single 1U sensor
The 1WR-HTemp Rack19 2p delivers two measured values via a single 1-Wire connection and can be seamlessly integrated into existing rack infrastructures.
Temperature (-10°C to +80°C)
Measures the ambient temperature with an accuracy of ±0.8°C and a resolution of 0.10°C.
Relative humidity (0–100 % RH)
Records the relative humidity with an accuracy of 5 % RH (in the range 2–80 % RH, non-condensing, at 25°C) and a resolution of 0.30 % RH.
2x RJ11, daisy-chainable
Two RJ11 connectors ("2p" = 2 ports) allow further 1-Wire sensors to be chained on the same bus.
1U rack mounting
Fits into a 19" or 10" enclosure (1U size) and can be mounted at the front, rear or on the wall.
How the 1WR-HTemp Rack19 2p is designed
The flat housing for the IT environment measures approximately 44 x 84 x 19 mm (W x H x D) and weighs about 27 g, with protection class IP23. Operating conditions: -10°C to +80°C at 0–100 % RH (storage: -30°C to +60°C, 5–95 % RH).

Compact, flat housing in the "Room" design that can be inserted directly as a 1U unit at the front or rear of a 19" or 10" enclosure, or alternatively fixed to the wall.
2x RJ11 connector
Two RJ11 sockets (bus input and bus output) for connection to a compatible HW group device as well as for daisy-chaining further 1-Wire sensors. A 3 m RJ11 connection cable is included in the scope of delivery.
Power supply via the 1-Wire bus
The sensor is powered directly via the 1-Wire bus (RJ11) with 5V and does not require its own power supply unit.
Measuring unit for two values
The integrated semiconductor sensor delivers two values simultaneously: temperature and relative humidity. There is no galvanic isolation, unit converter or calibration points.

Commissioning in a few steps
The 1WR-HTemp Rack19 2p is detected and configured directly via the connected HW group device.
- Mount the sensor in the 19" or 10" enclosure as a 1U unit at the front or rear, or fix it to the wall
- Connect the sensor to a compatible Poseidon, Ares, STE2 or Perseus device using the supplied 3 m RJ11 cable
- Optional: connect further 1-Wire sensors in series via the second RJ11 port (daisy-chain)
- Have the sensor automatically detected by the connected device and configure it via its web interface
- Set limit values for temperature and humidity as well as the desired alarm types

Practical example: In a 19" server rack, the 1WR-HTemp Rack19 2p is mounted as a 1U unit directly at the top of the enclosure and continuously measures temperature and humidity there. Via the second RJ11 socket, another sensor can be connected in an adjacent rack if required, so that the connected Poseidon or Perseus device centrally monitors both racks and triggers an alarm in the event of limit value exceedances.
