The HW group 1WR-Humid is a humidity probe (0–100 % RH) specifically developed for use in IT environments: for installation in IT cabinets (racks) on a cable bundle. It is a simple digital humidity sensor for indoor use that communicates via the 1-Wire bus.
The sensor is suitable for humidity measurement in IT, residential and industrial environments and is compatible with Poseidon, Ares, HWg-STE and Perseus devices. It is available in two cable lengths: 1 m and 3 m.

How the 1WR-Humid Is Built
The sensor has the form of a rod probe (Design: Rod) with dimensions of 78 x 10 x 6 mm and is designed for table or wall mounting.
Probe and Housing
The sensor body measures 78 x 10 x 6 mm and complies with protection class IP65. It is designed as a slim rod probe that can be attached to a cable bundle in an IT rack.
Connection Cable
Depending on the variant, the cable is 1 m or 3 m long and ends in an RJ11 plug.
RJ11 Connection (1-Wire)
Via the RJ11 plug the sensor is connected as a 1-Wire sensor to an HWg device, e.g. Poseidon, Ares, HWg-STE or Perseus.
Power Supply
The sensor is powered directly via the RJ11 connection (1-Wire) with 5 V. A separate power supply is not required.
Measurement Technology
Relative humidity is measured using semiconductor technology in the range 0–100 % RH, with an accuracy of 5 % RH (0–100 %RH, non-condensing, at 25 °C), a linearity of ±2.0 %RH and a resolution of 0.30 %RH. The sensor delivers one measured value.
Mounting
The sensor can be mounted on a table or on the wall, for industrial and SoHo use, with an operating temperature range of -40 °C to +85 °C.
Designed for HW group Platforms
The 1WR-Humid is designed for connection to Poseidon, Ares, HWg-STE and Perseus devices and can be expanded via hubs.

Commissioning in a Few Steps
The 1WR-Humid is connected as a 1-Wire sensor to a compatible HWg device.
- Select the appropriate cable length (1 m or 3 m) depending on the mounting distance
- Mount the sensor at the desired location (table or wall), e.g. on a cable bundle in an IT rack
- Connect the sensor via the RJ11 plug to a Poseidon, Ares, HWg-STE or Perseus device
- Optional: connect additional sensors via a hub (e.g. 1-Wire hub Power, Poseidon T-Box RJ11, Spider)
- Have the sensor automatically detected in the device setup
