The HW group Temp HomeBox is a simple temperature sensor with an RJ11 interface (1-Wire bus) that can be connected to all HW group monitoring devices. Housed in a small, elegant plastic enclosure, it can be mounted on the wall or ceiling or simply placed on a desk. Thanks to its small size and low weight, it can even be attached with double-sided adhesive tape.
A detachable cable with RJ11 connectors is used for connection; a 3-metre connection cable is included in the scope of delivery. The Temp HomeBox covers a measuring range of -30°C to +70°C and is suitable for numerous applications – from monitoring in private households to commercial and school buildings as well as various measuring and control projects. It is offered as a single version – there are no variants or options for this model.

How the Temp HomeBox is constructed
The compact plastic housing (approx. 40 x 40 x 20 mm, approx. 15 g) is designed for wall mounting, has protection class IP30 and is suitable for operating temperatures of -30°C to +70°C (0–100% RH) and a storage environment of -50°C to 70°C (0–100% RH).
Elegant plastic housing
Small, lightweight housing (4x4 cm) for indoor use, optionally mounted on the wall, the ceiling or freely placed on the desk.
Integrated measuring element
Inside the housing is a digital semiconductor temperature sensor that measures the ambient temperature directly – without an external probe.
Detachable RJ11 connection cable
The connection to the monitoring device is made via a detachable cable with RJ11 connectors at both ends; a 3-metre cable is already included in the scope of delivery.
Attachment with double-sided adhesive tape
Thanks to its low weight, the Temp HomeBox can also be easily attached at the desired location with double-sided adhesive tape, without screws.

Installation in a few steps
The Temp HomeBox is integrated directly into the existing 1-Wire sensor cabling and does not require its own configuration.
- Mount the housing at the desired location – on the wall, the ceiling or attached to the desk with double-sided adhesive tape
- Connect the sensor via the supplied 3 m RJ11 cable to a 1-Wire port of the monitoring device
- The sensor appears automatically in the configuration interface of the connected device
- There, if required, name it and set alarm limits for the temperature

Practical example: In an office building, several Temp HomeBox sensors are discreetly attached to the ceilings of different rooms in order to monitor the room temperature centrally. Thanks to the possible 1-Wire bus length of up to 60 m, even more distant rooms can be connected to a single monitoring device, for example a Poseidon2. In the event of deviations from the desired temperature, the facility team can react immediately.
