Function and Purpose
The Didactum PDU 4T with 4 outlets is a versatile power distribution unit designed for effective load management in various environments. It allows users to switch on and off or restart up to eight individual outlets, providing flexible control over connected devices.
In addition to its energy management functions, the Didactum PDU 4T also supports comprehensive environmental monitoring, including:
Temperature Monitoring: Monitors temperature values to prevent device overheating.
Humidity Monitoring: Ensures optimal humidity levels to protect sensitive equipment.
Voltage Monitoring: Monitors voltage values to protect against voltage spikes or drops.

With its ability to manage up to 700 elements – including notifications, triggers, timers, logic schemes, sensors, and dry contacts – the Didactum PDU 4T offers robust functionality for complex installations. It features an integrated web interface that enables users to create virtual sensors, implement logic schemes, and easily set up various types of notifications and control panels.
Functions:
1. 1U 19-inch Mounts - x2 pieces for mounting brackets into a 1U 19" rack slot.
2. Analog Sensors: A1..A8 - 8 RJ12 analog sensor inputs with automatic detection.
3. LAN Port - Ethernet 10/100 Base-T port providing an Ethernet connection. Read more in the section "LAN, GSM, LTE, RADIUS, DNS, SSL, VPN".
Orange LED - Orange LED for the Ethernet port. Indicates network traffic.
Green LED - Green LED for the Ethernet port. Indicates network traffic. Blinks green during system startup. Shows connection status (solid green light - connection established, blinking green - attempting to connect).
4. USB - A Micro-USB port is required for USB camera recording, USB flash for system logs, and system recovery.
5. Modem Slot - LTE slot modem can be installed in this slot. This modem must be ordered separately.
6. Sticker Space - A space for a sticker that can be used by the user to place an identifier for the system (for example, an IP address).
7. Restart - The button restarts the device. Hold the button for 2 seconds and then release it, and the system will restart.
8.1 Activity - Green LED shows the device system status,
Device operating mode: blinks at a frequency of 2 times per second;
Successful completion of the software update process: blinks at a frequency of 4 times per second;
8.2 Error - Red LED indicates errors and traffic.
Device operating mode: If everything is normal, the LED is off; otherwise, it is constantly lit;
Software update mode: blinks at a rate of 2 times per second;
8.3 Alarm - The LED can be programmed via the user interface for alarm indication.
9. TEMPERATURE SENSOR - Accuracy +/- 1 °C.
10.1 CAN - Green LED indicates CAN bus status.
LED blinks slowly - nothing is connected
LED blinks rapidly - configuration in progress
LED is constantly on - connected to CAN devices
10.2 R1, R2, R3, R4 - LED status indicators for the status of x4 C13 outlets.
LED ON (orange) - the relay is ON (the initial state can be configured).
LED OFF (off) - the output is OFF (the initial state can be configured).
10.3 E1, E2 - LED status indicators for 12V 0.25A relay outputs.
LED ON (orange) - the output is ON (the initial state can be configured).
LED OFF (off) - the output is OFF (the initial state can be configured).
11. OUTLETS 1-4 - x4 C13 sockets 110-240V AC, 50/60 Hz.
12. INLET - C14 inlet, 110-240V AC, 50/60Hz, fuse 10A 5x20mm
13. Chassis Grounding - Chassis grounding, M4 thread. Improves equipment immunity against conducted and radiated RF interference.
14. Battery Extension Slot - Extension slot for rechargeable backup battery or 9V backup battery. Only one extension can be installed in this slot. Each extension must be purchased separately.
15. DC 12V BACKUP POWER - This is a backup power supply connection.
16. Factory reset - Reset settings to standard factory defaults.
Hold the button pressed for more than 5 seconds. The Error LED starts blinking. This indicates the factory reset has been initiated. Wait 20-60 seconds for the system to restart. The Activity LED starts blinking once the system has restarted. The device is now accessible.
17. OUTPUTS 12V 0.25A - 12V 0.25A (per output) terminal outputs (electronic relay). LED indicators are located on the front panel.
18. DRY CONTACT INPUTS 1...2 - Digital inputs (type IN).
19. CAN 1 / CAN 0 - Two digital RJ12 connectors for connecting CAN sensors/extensions/devices on a CAN bus. Modules connected to these connectors can be cascaded.
20. SD Card - MicroSD card slot with eject mechanism.
The card is needed for data storage or "system recovery".
21. Extension Slot
Only one of the two extensions can be installed: Modbus RTU extension or OSDP v2 reader extension. Must be ordered separately.
22. N - R - DIP Switch is used for different system modes.
Normal mode: The switch is set to the left ←. The switch should always be in this position.
Device recovery: The switch is set to the right →. Used to load a clean system image from an SD card.
