Precise Temperature Converter for Pt100/Pt1000 Sensors via 1-Wire
The Converter 2xPt100 1W-UNI is a compact, high-performance temperature adapter that enables the connection of up to two platinum resistance thermometers (Pt100 or Pt1000) to a 1-Wire-UNI network. With this module, temperature values can be measured extremely accurately, processed, and transmitted via various systems such as LAN or GSM. This makes it the ideal solution for demanding applications in industry, building automation, or food and pharmaceutical logistics.
Versatile Compatibility and Flexible Connection Options
The temperature converter automatically detects whether a Pt100 or Pt1000 sensor is connected. The temperature sensors can be connected as required using a 2-, 3-, or 4-wire configuration. Power is supplied directly via the 1-Wire-UNI bus. Please note that a maximum of two sensors can be operated per active RJ11 port. To expand the number of sensors, it is recommended to use a 1-Wire hub with power supply.
High Precision Across a Wide Temperature Range
The system supports temperature measurements in the range from –200 °C to +850 °C (–328 °F to 1560 °F). It offers automatic range detection and allows individual calibration at up to eight points. The RJ11 connections enable easy daisy-chaining for expanding the measurement system.

Application Example: Temperature Measurement with Poseidon2
A Pt100 (3-wire) and a Pt1000 (2-wire) are connected to the converter. This is connected via the 1-Wire-UNI bus to a Poseidon2-3266. The temperature data appears in the device’s web interface and can be displayed in °C, °F, or K. Alarms for threshold violations are sent via email or SMS. Data transmission via SNMP, XML, Modbus/TCP, and SensDesk portal is possible.
Application Example: GSM Monitoring with Ares 12
A Pt1000 sensor is connected to the converter, which is connected to an Ares 12 GSM module. Additional sensors such as temperature and humidity sensors can be added. The Ares device sends alarms for deviations via SMS or email. The data can also be monitored via web portal or mobile app.
