Reliable Alerting for Threshold Exceedances
As soon as the measured values (temperature, humidity, voltage, etc.) exceed the defined safety limits, the STE2 PLUS reliably triggers an alarm. Alarm notifications can be sent in real-time via multiple channels:
- Email notification directly from the device via a configured SMTP server
- Email alerting via the portal (recommended for long-term reliability)
- SMS and voice calls via external SMS gateways (e.g., SMS-GW3 or SMS-GW3 LTE – optionally available)
A special feature is the alarm reminder, which repeatedly informs about an ongoing alarm condition as long as it persists. This prevents alarms from being overlooked. Simple escalation of alarm messages via email is also possible through the portal.
Simple Setup and Management
Commissioning is straightforward: the device is connected via LAN, the IP address is determined using the HWg-Config software, and then the integrated web interface is accessed.
