The HW group 1WU-Temp Pt100 3m is a temperature sensor for industrial applications that covers a measuring range from -50°C to +200°C. The internal, high-precision Pt100 measuring element offers high accuracy over a wide temperature range, a long service life and protection class IP67. The sensor is powered directly via the RJ11 connector from the 1-Wire port and can be plugged directly into the 1-Wire sensor port of an HWg device.
The sensor is supported by all HW group devices with an RJ11 port (1-Wire or 1-Wire UNI). Calibration at 8 points is possible with the HW group Calibrator. The 1WU-Temp Pt100 3m is ideal for warehouses, food processing, freezer rooms, medical and laboratory environments, agriculture and many other industrial applications. It is offered as a single version – there are no variants or options for this model.

The 1WU-Temp Pt100 3m combines the precision of a Pt100 platinum resistance with simple integration into the 1-Wire sensor network.
Measuring range -50°C to +200°C

How the 1WU-Temp Pt100 3m is designed
The sensor consists of an RJ11 connector, a 3-metre connection cable and the actual measuring tip in a slim metal housing (approx. 40 x 4 x 4 mm, approx. 200g total). It is designed for operating temperatures from -50°C to +200°C (10–100% RH) and a storage environment of 5°C to 40°C (5–85% RH).
RJ11 connector
At one end of the cable is an RJ11 plug that is inserted directly into the 1-Wire or 1-Wire UNI port of an HWg device – without an additional converter.
3-metre connection cable
A robust cable connects the RJ11 plug to the measuring tip and allows flexible positioning of the sensor at the actual measuring point, away from the monitoring device.
Pt100 measuring tip in metal housing
At the end of the cable is the actual Pt100 measuring element in a slim, rod-shaped metal housing with protection class IP67 – suitable for immersion in liquids or direct contact with the medium being measured.
Integrated converter
The converter between the Pt100 measured value and the 1-Wire protocol is already integrated into the cable, so that the sensor can be operated directly on the HWg device without any further electronics.
8-point calibration for maximum precision
Every 1WU-Temp Pt100 3m is factory-tested and can be individually calibrated if required.

Installation in a few steps
The 1WU-Temp Pt100 3m is simply plugged in and automatically detected.
- Position the measuring tip at the desired measuring point (e.g. in a cold room, on a pipeline or outdoors)
- Insert the RJ11 plug of the sensor into a free 1-Wire or 1-Wire UNI port of the HWg device
- The device automatically detects the sensor and displays it in the web interface
- Name the sensor there and set alarm limits for the measured value
- Optional: Connect the device to the free SensDesk.com portal to use reports and historical data
- Optional: Calibrate the sensor at up to 8 points with the HW group Calibrator

Practical example: In a freezer room for food, a 1WU-Temp Pt100 3m is connected directly to an STE2 device and continuously monitors the temperature. The measured values are automatically transferred every few minutes to the free SensDesk.com portal, where periodic reports for audits can be generated. If the temperature leaves the defined range, the operator immediately receives an e-mail notification; with an additional SMS gateway, the alarming can be extended to include SMS or voice calls.
