Three Measured Values in One Housing: Temperature, Humidity and CO2
The HW group Sensor CO2 1W-UNI combines temperature, relative humidity and CO2 measurement in a single box. It is connected via the RJ11 interface (1-Wire-UNI bus) to most HW group monitoring devices and thus helps maintain comfortable conditions in workplaces and living spaces.
Depending on the HWg device used, the sensor can be integrated into a monitoring system via GSM/LTE, LAN, WiFi or NB-IoT. This makes it suitable for a wide range of combinations in homes, offices or public installations.
Three Sensors, One RJ11 Connection
The Sensor CO2 1W-UNI delivers a total of three measured values via a shared 1-Wire-UNI interface.
Temperature 0–50 °C
Accuracy ±0.8 °C, resolution 0.1 °C.
Relative Humidity 0–95 %RH
Accuracy 5 %RH (at 20–80 %RH/25 °C), resolution 0.3 %RH.
CO2 300–40,000 ppm
Accuracy 50 ppm + 3 %, resolution 1 ppm (0–2000 ppm), temperature stability 2.5 ppm/°C.

The CO2 value can be assigned directly to one of five comfort levels, from “Excellent” to “Unhealthy”.
How the Sensor CO2 1W-UNI Is Built
The plastic housing measures 60 x 60 x 20 mm and complies with protection class IP30.
Housing and Ventilation Slots
The elegant plastic housing (60 x 60 x 20 mm) has ventilation slots on one side through which ambient air reaches the internal CO2, temperature and humidity sensor.
RJ11 Connection (1-Wire UNI)
Via the RJ11 plug the sensor is connected to an HWg device; a matching connection cable is included. The maximum distance from the active 1-Wire port is 30 m.
Power Supply
The sensor is powered directly via the RJ11 port with 5 V. One active RJ11 port can supply a maximum of 1 Sensor CO2 1W-UNI.
CO2 Measurement Technology
The internal CO2 sensor measures in the range 300–40,000 ppm with an accuracy of 50 ppm + 3 % and must be calibrated once for 7 days in the environment after installation; during this time the room should be thoroughly ventilated at least 3 times a day.
Temperature and Humidity Measurement Technology
Temperature and relative humidity are measured immediately after connection, without calibration time. Overall the sensor delivers 3 measured values.
Mounting
The housing can be mounted on the wall or ceiling or placed on a desk with double-sided adhesive tape.

The measured CO2 value can be assigned directly to five comfort levels.

Commissioning in a Few Steps
The Sensor CO2 1W-UNI is connected as a 1-Wire-UNI sensor to an HWg device.
- Mount the sensor at the desired location (wall, ceiling or desk with double-sided adhesive tape)
- Connect the sensor via the supplied RJ11 cable to an HW group monitoring device
- Switch on the device and run the sensor search in the setup
- Temperature and humidity values are available immediately
- Allow the CO2 sensor to calibrate for 7 days in the environment; thoroughly ventilate the room at least 3 times a day during this period
- Configure thresholds and alarms for temperature, humidity and CO2 in the device
