The Pt100 Cable Probe for Flexible Mounting and an Extended Measuring Range
The HW group Temp-485-Pt100 Cable3 is an industrial temperature sensor in which the actual Pt100 probe is separated from the RS-485 converter housing by a 2-meter cable. This allows the sensor to cover an extended measuring range of -50°C to +200°C and to be positioned flexibly at hard-to-reach measuring points or locations remote from the converter housing.
The converter housing is designed for wall mounting, is protected to IP65 against dust and water jets, and communicates via the RS-485 interface using a simple ASCII protocol. The probe itself additionally achieves protection class IP67. The Temp-485-Pt100 Cable3 is specifically designed for connection to the Poseidon2 4002 and is offered as a single version – there are no variants or options for this model.

External Pt100 Probe on 2m Cable
The measuring element (Pt100/A) is housed in a robust stainless-steel enclosure (material 17240, stem length 50 mm) with protection class IP67 and is connected to the converter via a 2-meter long, shielded 4-core silicone cable.
Terminal Block and RJ11 Connector
Connection to the RS-485 bus and power supply is made via a screw terminal block (CUU 2.5 mm²) as well as via an RJ11 connector.
Addressing and Bus Termination
The RS-485 bus address is set via software configuration or via jumpers; bus termination can be activated via a DIP switch if required.
